Then after having their meal the two headed to back to the lair through the passage way . Galith continued to speak of the grand ambitions they could realize with his help while Masala's thoughts hovered around his mother's condition at the current for he was anxious but wish not to show it on his face as he looked seemly emotionless.
Then Galith commanded Selinda to accompany Masala to retrieve his mother from the place he had left her at and so they left to do as intended.
The two both of them exited the place Masala suggested that they should quicken their pace and said nothing else. Both ran through the dense forest but under Masala's pace and passed through the surrounding trees like fleeting shadows constantly making swoosh sounds as they brushed against the nearby trees.
As they ran Masala inquired from Selinda ,"How were you able to know what I was thinking? how did you read my mind?."
" Oh you noticed , quite thr proceiptive one aren't but, it's a secret you'll have to get close to me if you really want to know ?" She winked while saying that to him.
Since they were now on the same side Selinda became more expressive towards Masala as she was not previously due to the seldom duty of upholding her loyalty to her master. So seeing her act this way he kept quiet not wanting to entertain her playful antics .
Masala rolled his eyes ignoring her provocative words and showing disinterest then said," Nah, forget it. I'm better of not knowing ."
She smiled at his response and thought that Masala was quite an interesting young fellow. Selinda took masala to were she found him laying then from then on masala was able to pick-up where she left of. They continued to race through the forest without taking a second to rest at Masala's full speed as he was worried about his mother living alone that cabin alone. This led to Selinda internally praising masala for his resilience and speed as he was much faster then individuals at the same realm as him, she also took note of his filial piety towards his mother while silently admiring it.
After travelling such a long distance at full speed in a single they were finally able to reach the cabin in which his mother stayed in ever since he left 5 days ago .And so he quickly ran into the cabin to check on his mother's condition immediately shortly after arriving while Selinda closely followed behind.
The moment he entered, he found that the skeleton left by him was without any energy to sustain itself so it laid on the floor unmoving ,but he mother's condition had only slightly regressed which lead him to release a sigh of relief.'It seems she more resilient than I gave her credit for ' He thought as a slightly worried grin formed on his face.
He then look back to see Selinda standing with her back against the wall seemingly curious about the situation. But after silent assessing the situation she exited and left him alone with his mother. Of course he would not want to say a word about it still not trusting her and, she saw that he had no such intentions thus her departure was justified.
Since Masala knew there was no escaping them he decided to cooperate, though he thought about it was but a fleeting thought. So the moment he was able confirm that his mother's condition was still stable he started to prepare for their departure. He started rummaging throughout the cabin searching for that purple orb necklace mother gave him as he left it there fearing it might get lost with he fought.
Then he also remember the book his mother gave him before her coma, he took it out of the drawer he had stored it in. A question popped in to his head as he wondered what was the content left in the book. He tried opening the book out of curiosity but failed to though it has no visible lock then he thought to himself ' Maybe this is one of those magical books that open after some special sacrifice or something'.
As a reincarnator he was aware of his nature as a dark being, so he thought of a method of opening it through dropping blood on to it. As soon as that thought crossed his mind he took his sword out of it's sheath then imbued it with mana and made a small cut on his wrist and did so. Unfortunately nothing occurred then he wondered if he just sent his mana to it maybe something might happen but still no results.
