There, it stood. The rock monster was right in their path. Fires surrounded all 3 of them in a circle, that fire coming from the car. The car was wrecked, a monster stood in their way, so they were forced to fight or flight. The training that had just took place a few minutes ago will come in handy here, surely. Kai clenched his fists, and Ron said "Take out the weapons. We're gonna fight it." "Are you nuts?!" Kai said. "We just trained, and that only lasted thirty minutes! What makes you think we can take on this thing?" "Trust me, we can and will. Did you see the power we both displayed back there? Neither of us even knew we could do that. We fought on instinct. Let's just do that again, and surely we can do this!" Ron shouted, motivating his brother to fight.
"Right" said Kai, as he pulled out the bag and handed Ron his glove before putting on the helmet he got. The monster jumped at them and retracted it's limbs, turning into a boulder and falling. Kai dodged, but Ron didn't. "Ron!" Kai said in concern. "It's about the size of the car. That's about 86,500 pounds!" But then, it was tossed up at least 100 feet and kicked back down as fast as it went up. "How did you survive that?!" "It did hit me, which is why there's a dent of me on its back, but I survived. And it didn't even break anything, thankfully. But that did hurt. Also, you are such a nerd, man. How did you know how much it-" Ron was interrupted by a loud thud behind him. The monster crashed back down and turned into a boulder again before rolling at Kai. He put his hand on it as it tried to run him over. He was sliding back and almost off of the cliff. His rocket boots activated though, and he pushed the boulder beast backwards. "Way to go Kai!" Ron chanted. Kai then punched it, making a crack in it. "That's it! If we can keep cracking it, we can break it and make it crumble!" Kai said through his teeth as he threw blow after blow at the rock. The beast grew its arms back though, and it grabbed Kai and held him tightly, like a literal bear hug, but with one hand. His bones were cracking as he went through immense pain. But Ron grabbed the monster by the hand that it was using to hold Kai and shattered the whole forearm in one powerful grip, releasing his brother. With the nub that the monster had left, he punched Ron, sending him flying and making him hit the mountain that they were driving down from, right next to them. He fell before bouncing off of the wall, kicking off of the monster, which made it fall backwards, and did a finger gun while bending over backwards mid-air. Apparently this was a pose, because it combined a shockwave with the energy ball, so when the ball hit the monster, it blasted it backward from the amount of energy that the ball and the shockwave made together, while also cracking it again. Once Ron landed, and the monster unfroze, he kicked the monster so that it spun around, Ron moonwalking while it spun. Time itself slowed down, to the point where you could see the hummingbirds flap their wings as slowly as a sloth climbing. Ron didn't intend to do this, he was just trying to style on it a bit before kicking it off of the cliff, but he took advantage of the fact that everything and everyone was way slower except for himself. Clouds stayed in place like a painting and the fire around them waved in the wind slower than any flame has before. He did many lightning-fast punches and kicks, all mid air, before throwing it up. He then shot 10 finger gun blasts at it, but since they traveled super slowly, he could shake the monsters hand. He wondered how long the effect lasts. 5 minutes after it started, or 5 seconds after he thought that, everything resumed to normal speed, and everything happened. The monster got sudden cracks. Like a lot of them. He flew upwards, and ten finger shots blasted at him in the air, cracking the boulder like shattered glass. "Kai, now!" Kai fired an energy wave at the beast while it was getting hit by the shots, and it absorbed all of the plasma Kai shot. The monster exploded as soon as it came in contact with the beam, and hundreds of rocks went flying.
Tiny pebbles rained. Ron caught one and put it in his pocket. "This will certainly be a day to remember" Kai said. They both looked beat up, rightfully so. They had realized that they had to either walk all the way down the rest of the mountain or climb down, so they took the safer of the two and walked down. Kai could have flown down, but he would rather not leave his brother behind. They were watching the sun set that evening as they walked down the 840 foot tall mountain, admiring the view. They couldn't believe that all of that just happened, they were just taking the whole day all in. One step at a time. They were both hungry, and definitely wanted to grab something when they got down. "Burgers?" Kai asked. "Burgers."
