"Frieza... just how strong is he?" Bardock's pupils constricted slightly, his expression shifting repeatedly.
The night wind blew across the wasteland, kicking up fine gravel that struck the ground between them with a faint crackling sound.
"His initial power level is about 530,000," Rez replied.
"You... you... you're joking, right?" Bardock's heart sank, his complexion growing increasingly grim, and cold sweat even began to bead on his forehead.
A power level of 530,000?
How could they even fight?
Even if he transformed into a Great Ape and increased his power tenfold, it would only be 150,000.
Compared to 530,000, that wasn't even worth mentioning.
Rez smiled and didn't respond.
"Is Frieza's power level really that high?" Gine was equally pale with fright, her voice trembling slightly.
She instinctively hugged the Spherical Spaceship in her arms tighter, as if it were her only reliance.
Inside the ship, Kakarot seemed to sense his mother's unease and began to whimper softly again.
"Is the information reliable?" Bardock asked again, a final trace of hope lingering in his voice.
"It shouldn't be fake," Rez smiled.
Bardock fell silent.
If this were true, then the Saiyans' pride in their combat power and their record of conquering planets were nothing more than a joke in front of Frieza.
"Wait... what do you mean by 'initial' power level?" Bardock suddenly realized something and hurriedly pressed for an answer.
Rez rested his chin on his index finger, his eyes narrowing slightly as if recollecting: "Frieza can also transform. Each time he does, his power level doubles. I recall he can transform three times, for a total of four forms."
"What? He can transform that many times?" Bardock was completely dumbfounded, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit a fist.
"The second form's power level seems to be 1,000,000, the third form is 2,000,000, and the fourth form's base power level is 3,000,000," Rez answered one by one, his tone remaining calm.
Bardock opened his mouth, but no words came out.
Gine's face grew even paler as she felt an overwhelming fear; her hands holding the ship trembled slightly.
Kakarot, inside the spaceship, also seemed to sense the inexplicable pressure. He stopped crying and stared blankly at the world outside with wide, round eyes.
"Frieza's maximum power level is 3,000,000?" Bardock murmured, his expression becoming increasingly heavy and uneasy.
He lowered his head, staring at the wasteland beneath his feet, remaining silent for a long time.
"Rez is right. No wonder he just said... all of us Saiyans combined are no match for him!" Gine gave a helpless sigh, feeling as if the sky were falling.
With such a high power level, how could they fight?
Bardock clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking.
He looked up at Rez with a complex gaze.
Rez originally wanted to tell him that Frieza's true power level was 120 million.
But after some thought, he decided against it.
3,000,000 was already a massive amount of pressure.
If he revealed Frieza's true power level, it would only drive Bardock to absolute despair, crushing even his last shred of fighting spirit.
"Let's send Kakarot away first to preserve a spark of life for the Saiyans," Rez said with a smile, stepping forward to pat Bardock on the shoulder.
Bardock said nothing, merely staring blankly at Rez.
Three seconds of silence passed.
"Then what are your plans next?" Bardock asked, his voice low and raspy.
"Since I can't leave this planet, I'll live and die with it," Rez said with a smile, his tone calm.
"Is that so? In that case, count me in!" Bardock raised his fist.
Rez smiled slightly and also raised his fist.
The two fists gently bumped together under the night sky.
"I should go. You guys send Kakarot away as soon as possible." After speaking, Rez didn't linger and immediately turned into a streak of light, flying rapidly toward the town.
A faint light traced an arc in the night sky, quickly disappearing into the distant darkness.
Bardock and Gine looked at each other, then back at Kakarot in the spaceship.
They both nodded gently.
Subsequently, Bardock and Gine landed with the spaceship in the wilderness.
This was an open flatland surrounded by rolling low hills, with the towering silhouette of Star-Shattering Cliff faintly visible in the distance.
The night wind rustled through the wild grass, making a soughing sound that added a touch of desolation to the silent wilderness.
"Bardock, is everything Rez said true?" Gine asked in a low voice, her heart uneasy.
Her gaze remained fixed on the spherical ship; through the transparent hatch, she could see the small figure inside.
"It doesn't seem fake, and he has no reason to deceive us," Bardock shook his head slightly, his voice growing deeper.
He knelt down and began checking the ship's various parameters.
"If Frieza's power level really is 3,000,000, we're completely powerless to resist," Gine said, sweat sliding down her forehead and turning cold in the night wind.
"Even knowing we're no match for him, we can't just sit and wait for death." Bardock clenched his fists tightly and looked up at the starry sky, his expression becoming more determined.
In the starry sky, countless stars twinkled with faint light, quiet and eternal.
"Let's send Kakarot away first." Gine sighed helplessly, her voice thick with reluctance. She knelt and gently stroked the ship's hull as if caressing her child's face. "The program is set for a distant planet called Earth. Although there's plenty of food, the people and resources have no value, making it an inconspicuous, good planet."
Bardock nodded slightly and continued checking the ship's parameters.
"If Bardock and Rez are just overthinking things, we'll come and get you soon," Gine said softly to Kakarot.
Kakarot stared with his big eyes, looking completely bewildered.
He didn't understand; it seemed as if his mom and dad didn't want him anymore.
Why were they sending him away?
Was it because he wasn't being good?
"Remember, don't stare at the Full Moon for a long time," Bardock warned repeatedly, looking deeply at his young son inside the hatch.
"I'll tell Raditz about this too," Gine nodded slightly, her eyes starting to redden.
"You must survive," Bardock said, his face full of reluctance as his large hand gently stroked the ship's hull.
"Goodbye... Kakarot..." Gine's eyes were red, and tears welled up but she forced them back.
Kakarot stared at his parents, his tender face filled with confusion.
He reached out his small hand and patted the cabin wall, making a soft thumping sound.
The next moment, Bardock resolutely pressed the launch button of the spaceship.
Whoosh—
The spaceship streaked across the night sky like a beam of light, its tail spewing bright flames as it shot toward the vast starry sky at extreme speed.
In the blink of an eye, the Spherical Spaceship vanished completely, leaving only a gradually dissipating trail of light.
