Chapter 86 - Chapter 87: Welcome, Friend From Afar

Cocotte's smile froze on her face, the light in her eyes instantly extinguished. Her lips trembled, and the expression on her face was as if she had swallowed a live fly.

Cocotte fell silent. Her pink face was full of complicated emotions, her brows furrowed, and thoughts surged in her eyes.

"This price is likely a bit too high."

"No, that's not right. Let me think this through properly!"

"I'm already that woman's servant anyway."

"Plus, the Vice-Captain and Caselar have both been captured."

"Releasing them both to serve as servants is also a pretty good option."

"That way, the three of us might be able to figure out a way to escape."

"Besides, what if that race called the Namekians happens to know where the Pride Troopers are?"

"If that's the case, maybe Rez might let us go."

Her eyes darted around as she quickly weighed the pros and cons in her mind, her fingers twisting together.

"Do you keep your word?" Cocotte asked, her voice tinged with caution. She stared straight at Rez, trying to detect any flaws on his face.

"Rest assured, I always keep my word. They can all vouch for me," Rez said, gesturing to Linoshi and the other two beside him, his tone sincere and his gaze clear.

Linoshi nodded gently, her eyes full of trust.

Vegeta huffed, turned his head away, and said nothing.

Broly held the dragon ball and grinned foolishly, not listening to what they were saying at all.

"Alright." Cocotte nodded slightly, took a deep breath, and immediately descended from the sky.

Seeing that Rez and the others intended to leave, Nail's hanging heart finally dropped. His tense body relaxed slightly, and he exhaled a long breath; the heavy stone in his chest finally fell to the ground.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, a trace of relief at having survived the ordeal appearing on his grass-green face.

However, immediately afterward, Nail noticed that Cocotte had returned.

This woman is...

Among these people, only her energy was the purest; there wasn't a trace of evil in her, as pure as a clear spring.

Let's see what she wants first.

"Thud!"

Cocotte landed quickly beside Nail, her feet planted firmly on the rock. Her red hair swayed gently behind her, and her pink face was full of urgency.

"Hello!" Nail greeted her in a low voice without drawing attention, then lowered his voice further and asked, "Were you coerced by them?"

"You already know?" Cocotte was slightly taken aback, her eyes widening as she looked at Nail with some surprise.

"Those two brats have very evil energy; they clearly aren't good people!" Nail said in a deep voice, a hint of gravity appearing on his face. He swept his gaze over Vegeta and Broly in the sky, his brows furrowing tightly.

"We did indeed lose to them, especially that guy named Rez; his strength is incredibly powerful!" Cocotte sighed gently. Recalling Rez's eerie speed, a chill ran down her back again.

"You came to find me alone—do you need me to help you with something?" Nail asked politely, a trace of concern appearing on his face.

"Can you contact the Pride Troopers from here? If you can reach the Pride Troopers' headquarters, have our captain come support us immediately!" Cocotte said with a serious expression, her voice lowered to a whisper for fear of being heard by Rez in the sky. "I will send a signal to our captain to keep him alert for reception!"

"Pride Troopers?" Nail was a bit confused, his brows furrowing into a knot, his face full of bewilderment; he clearly had never heard of this name.

It would be strange if he had.

After all, they weren't in the same universe!

Even if the Namekians were omnipotent, it would still be difficult to know about affairs in other universes.

"You haven't heard of the Pride Troopers?" Cocotte looked disappointed, the light in her eyes dimming a little. With a tone of disbelief, she asked again, "Then have you heard of Planet Pride? That planet is located at the center of the universe."

Nail slowly shook his head again, his face full of apology.

"This is terrible!" Cocotte was speechless, slapping her palm against her forehead, her face full of helplessness and frustration.

Our Pride Troopers have such a famous reputation in the universe, and you've never even heard of us?

The corners of her mouth twitched, and a deep sense of defeat welled up in her heart.

"Although I haven't heard of this Pride Troopers you speak of, our Great Elder should know..." Nail mused. "Would you mind coming in with me? I will take you to meet our Great Elder."

"I'll give it a try," Cocotte said. She looked up at Rez and the others hovering in the sky and raised her voice slightly. "He says his companion might know. Can I go in?"

"Go ahead, go ahead," Rez waved his hand.

Cocotte breathed a sigh of relief and followed Nail into the Great Elder's room.

The wooden door slowly closed behind her, shutting out the sunlight and the sound of the wind outside.

The room was dimly lit, and the air was filled with a faint, fresh scent of vegetation.

The moment she saw the Great Elder, Cocotte couldn't help but look him up and down. Her gaze swept over that wrinkled, dark green face, landed on those cloudy yet still wise eyes, and finally rested on his bloated, massive body.

Although this old man looked so frail that it seemed he might be blown away by the wind at any moment, he radiated an aura that one dared not take lightly.

"Welcome, friend from afar!" the Great Elder exclaimed. His cloudy eyes opened slightly, and his aged voice echoed in the dim room. "I heard everything you just said, but unfortunately, I have also never heard of the Pride Troopers or Planet Pride!"

"Even you haven't heard of them?" Cocotte's heart turned to ash. Her last shred of hope was extinguished, her shoulders slumped, and she felt as if all the strength had been drained from her body.

"However..." the Great Elder's voice was very low, and a trace of hesitation appeared on his aged face.

Cocotte, being very perceptive, leaned forward and stretched her ear toward him, a glimmer of hope reigniting in her eyes.

"Never mind, just forget it." The Great Elder hesitated for a moment, his lips moved, but in the end, he didn't seem to intend to say it. He shook his head, closed his cloudy eyes again, and the wrinkles on his face deepened.

Cocotte: "..."

Cocotte's body stiffened, her ear still extended in mid-air, her expression frozen on her face, her eyes full of astonishment and speechlessness.

"I even leaned my ear over, and now you say never mind!"

"Aren't you just messing with me?"

The corners of her mouth twitched, her pink face full of helplessness, and a million curses were running through her mind.

Originally, the Great Elder had intended to tell Cocotte about the dragon balls.

As long as Porunga was summoned, they would certainly be able to find the exact location of Planet Pride.

The problem was... now this righteous lady had already been reduced to the opponent's servant.

How could she, all by herself, collect the seven dragon balls on Planet Namek?

Even if the dragon balls were gathered, would she have the qualifications to make a wish?
