Jaco didn't stop until he had run a long distance and turned several street corners.
Leaning against a lamppost, he bent over and panted heavily, his chest heaving violently.
He glanced back, and after confirming that Rez hadn't pursued him, Jaco's hanging heart finally settled back into place.
"Huff, huff, huff..."
Jaco panted heavily, his heart thumping wildly. Sweat slid down his cheeks, mixing with the liquid seeping from his forehead and dripping onto the ground.
This is so strange!
The intelligence was wrong!
Why would an adult Saiyan descend upon this planet?
I can't take it anymore!
I have to find a way to contact headquarters immediately.
Otherwise, this planet will surely face a total catastrophe.
However, Jaco's Spaceship had already been destroyed, and his communication system was malfunctioning. Trying to contact headquarters was proving to be extremely difficult.
He lifted his head and looked up at the starry sky, his eyes filled with despair.
The night sky was dotted with stars, every single one of them unreachable.
Rez had no intention of making things difficult for Jaco. He withdrew his gaze and patted his hands.
Because in Rez's view, a guy like Jaco was purely the comedic relief type.
"Let's go," Rez said gently to Linoshi, his voice softening a few degrees as he turned around.
"Okay." Linoshi nodded obediently, her eyes curving slightly.
The surrounding crowd had been hoping to spectate a fight, but seeing that it didn't happen, they were immediately disappointed.
A few young people curled their lips, muttered a few words, and gradually dispersed one by one.
The crowd scattered like a receding tide, and the street returned to its usual tranquility.
Just as Rez and Linoshi were about to leave...
"Wait... Please wait!" Tights suddenly called out to the two of them, her voice tinged with urgency.
She immediately ran forward with light footsteps.
Rez stopped, turned around, and let his gaze fall on Tights's face, his brow twitching slightly.
"Is something the matter?" Rez smiled faintly, his tone indifferent.
"Hello, my name is Tights. I'm a novelist who loves writing science fiction." Tights introduced herself, folding her hands in front of her and bowing slightly. Her eyes curiously scrutinized Rez and Linoshi, her gaze sweeping between them twice. "Excuse me, are you... are you aliens?"
"That's right, we are from the distant Planet Vegeta," Rez said truthfully, his posture relaxed.
"That's wonderful! Could you provide me with some material for my science fiction novels?" Tights's eyes lit up, filled with the light of expectation.
Her gaze lingered on Rez's face for a moment before shifting to Linoshi, sizing her up from top to bottom.
Seeing Tights observing her, Linoshi blushed and hung her head without saying a word, her fingers rubbing the hem of her Battle Suit over and over again.
"This is your girlfriend, right? She's so beautiful." Tights tried to build rapport, a sincere smile on her face and her eyes curving into crescents.
"You said you want me to provide you with material for science fiction novels?" Rez pondered, rubbing his chin.
"Yes, yes! Do you have any suitable material?" Tights asked excitedly, her hands wringing together in front of her.
"I do, but explaining it is too much trouble. Let's talk later." Rez waved his hand, then turned around and took Linoshi's hand to leave.
Tights quickly caught up again.
"Wait! If you provide me with suitable material, how about I treat you to a meal?" Tights pleaded hurriedly, her voice urgent. "I want to understand the universe better, but with our current technology, we can't achieve space travel yet. Pure imagination just isn't enough!"
Rez was just about to refuse, his lips moving slightly.
He didn't have time to waste here with a novelist.
"Rez, why don't we agree to it?" Linoshi tugged at Rez's sleeve and persuaded him.
Rez looked down at Linoshi's hand, then looked up, his gaze pausing on her face for a moment.
"Alright then, you treat us to a meal first," Rez proposed, jerking his chin toward Tights.
"No problem! What do you want to eat?" Tights asked excitedly, her eyes shining like two stars as she clapped her hands together.
"The most delicious food on Earth, of course," Rez smiled faintly, his tone relaxed.
"If that's the case... why don't you come to my house? My family's food is delicious," Tights suggested to Rez after thinking for a moment, her eyes darting around.
"That works too." Rez nodded.
"My home is in the distant West City. It takes over an hour to get there by plane from here." Tights stretched out her arm, pointing toward the distant horizon.
"Taking a plane is too much trouble; we'll just fly there directly." Rez smiled, then turned his head to address Linoshi, "Will you carry her while flying... or should I?"
"I... I'll do it!" Linoshi said quickly, her voice a bit rushed.
After speaking, Linoshi stepped forward gently and put her arm around Tights's waist.
Her arm circled Tights's waist, her palm gripping her side with just the right amount of pressure.
Whoosh!
Linoshi pushed off with her toes, taking Tights up into the air.
The two figures rose rapidly into the night sky.
"Eek..." Tights cried out in surprise, so frightened that she clung to Linoshi like an iron hoop. Her eyes were squeezed shut, and her face turned slightly pale.
She was terrified of falling, her body pressed tightly against Linoshi.
Rez also slowly took to the sky, following unhurriedly behind Linoshi.
"You aliens can all fly! That's amazing!" After a moment of adjustment, Tights slowly opened her eyes and took a cautious peek downward.
She looked in shock at the shrinking buildings below; houses became matchboxes, streets became thin lines, and people became ants.
"Not only can we fly, but with our current power, we could easily destroy this planet—if we wanted to," Rez said with a chuckle.
"Ah? You're that powerful? You wouldn't really want to destroy Earth, would you?" Tights was terrified, her eyes wide and round, her face turning from pale to a greenish hue.
She hugged even tighter, her fingers clutching Linoshi's Battle Suit.
"We won't. You can rest assured, we aren't bad people," Rez laughed heartily, his laughter scattering in the night wind.
"That's good, that's good." Tights patted her chest and let out a long sigh of relief.
Her body relaxed slightly, but her arms still didn't let go.
"Are we flying that way?" Tights asked softly, pointing toward the west.
"Yes... it is indeed in that direction." Tights nodded.
...
While Jaco breathed a sigh of relief, he began wandering around the nearby town again.
His footsteps were heavy and his body slightly hunched, like a stray dog.
