The best-case scenario was winning Illyan and Acero Town over simultaneously, while also gaining some benefits for the Glens. Going past Illyan might become a point of criticism on Wilem when he returned as the heir.
Only two or three high nobles in Holt had level 3 towns associated with them. For the Glens, their largest territories were two level 2 towns, Baccal Town being one of them. Both were quite far away, but they had Mercenary Halls to connect them at least.
