Yuan Baolin returned to her boudoir, after which her younger sister, Yuan Tong, walked in.
Her sister hooked her arm with her own and quietly asked, "Sister, have you really agreed to this marriage?"
Yuan Baolin withdrew her hand, lay down on the chaise lounge, and leisurely flipped open a half-read book: "Hmm."
The surprised sister sat beside her, "But sister, didn't you say you would never marry in your lifetime?"
Yuan Baolin sighed, "Grandmother forced me with her life, what could I do?"
Yuan Tong made a sound of acknowledgment, holding her handkerchief and said, "Speaking of which, he indeed found a phoenix bird for you, showing he's serious about you."
Yuan Baolin turned a page and continued reading, speaking indifferently, "It wasn't found by him."
Yuan Tong was puzzled, "How does sister know it wasn't him?"
