"Why are you not sure?" the child asked curiously.
"Because it's been a while since I became one. The last time I checked, there was no news about Lamias existing."
The father walked over and sat beside his child.
"I'm sorry, sir. My son asks a lot of questions. I hope he isn't disturbing you."
"Father, he said he didn't know Lamias existed before!"
"Really?" The man glanced at Lawrence before hesitantly pulling his son away from him. He was about to return to the cart when Lawrence spoke.
"Why don't you tell me what you know about them? Those things you call Lamias."
The man began to doubt his ears. This man had fought those Lamias as if he had battled them for months. He hadn't looked afraid or shaken while fighting.
Was it because he had been a soldier? Or was he truly a powerful mage?
People who had never heard of Lamias were not uncommon. They were usually from the far west or east. Some northerners might know of them.
