MC POV
'Hey System, what's with me already being at the advanced stages despite only having trained in my combat styles for about four weeks', I lean back on a bench set out in the open field of the arena.
Off in the distance there are a bunch of students running around trying to find objects, some sort of Egg hunt-like minigame I guess.

I lean back further as I grab my drink, which was given to all students, slowly sipping it as I watch the recreational activities.
I feel someone take a seat beside me as I open my eyes to see Kirishima sitting there.
"Hey man! So it's gonna be the two of us in the last round huh?", Kirishima gives me a his 'bro smile' he always has on.
"Suppose so, don't worry I won't go to hard on you", I place my drink back down by my leg sitting up slightly.
"Thanks, honestly was a bit worried, I'm pretty strong myself but your just in a different league", he let's out a sigh rubbing the back of his neck giving me a now half-smile.
"Don't worry I want to show off my skills before I using my quirk, want to attract attention, plus you've helped me a lot in training so call it me returning a favor."
He gives me a small nod before relaxing in his seat.
"How has your training been going".
"It's been going great! Ever since you told me about the club I feel like I've gotten a lot stronger plus... Well that's a secret for later, in our fight that is, Man! Fighting you is gonna be so much fun Man to Man, Fist to Fist. I really can't wait", he pumps his fist into the air a aura of determination around him.
My face shifts into a light smile, giving him a "yeah" I stand up.
"Gonna go eat something before we have to fight, wanna give it my all. After all you seem so determined, it would be rude of me to not fight you properly", my smile fails to leave my face as I walk away, heading to get something light to eat.
I move my hand to my jaw, 'man feels weird to smile so often... but it's... comforting(?)...huh'

MC POV - Awhile Later
"ARE YOU READY!!! YOU'VE ALL BE THROUGH HELL TO GET HERE, BUT GET HERE BUT IT'S NOW TIME FOR THE ONE-ON-ONE TOURNAMENT! YOU'VE ONLY GOT YOURSELF TO RELY ON, WHETHER YOU'RE IN THE HERO COURSE OR NOT THE SAYING STILL HOLDS TRUE 'SPIRIT, TECHNIQUE, STRENGTH, WISDOM, AND KNOWLEDGE USE 'EM ALL AND SHOW US YOUR BEST'!!", Mic's voice blares over the mic, his voice either pumping everyone up or just making people more nervous about the fights to come.
I take my seat in my classes observation deck, sitting beside Setsuna who is currently talking with Sato.
Sato himself was a rather big dude. He has big lips, square-ish head, brown spiky short hair, a muscular build -though he has a rather soft face- and a set of black eyes.
"-ing some to class sometime, I'm should everyone would love it"
"Are you sure... I-I don't know if I'm good enough at making them though...", Sato scratches his head, seeming unconfident about something.
"Never know unless you try", I but in to their conversation as Setsuna gives me a big smile.
"See! Even he agrees and only just got here".
I give her a small nudge whispering, "what are we talking about".
"his cooking skills, he mentioned his enjoyment of sweets and we just got to talking"
I give her a nod as I look back at him, his face in contemplation.
"I.. I guess, but only if everyone can agree on what I should cook, I don't want anyone to be left out", we both nod at his requirements.
"Fair enough, I'll talk to Yaoyorozu and Midoriya and get them to spread the word so we can all vote on it".
"Actually mind if I talk to Yaoyorozu", Setsuna leans into me a bit, her back resting on my arm and her head tilted back to look at me.
"Sure(?), makes it easier on me", I give a shrug as I look down at the stage, the fight about to start.
"THE FIRST MATCH, MAKING A WEIRD FACE DESPITE HIS PERFORMANCE, IT'S IZUKU MIDORIYA FROM THE HERO COURSE... VERSUS! THE AGILE TSUYU ASUI ALSO FROM GENERAL COURSES", as Present Mic talks the two make their way to the stage, Midoriya with a weird look on his face, nervousness?
"THE RULES ARE SIMPLE, WIN BY KNOCKING YOUR OPPONENT OUT OF THE RING, IMMOBILZING THEM, OR GETTING THEM TO SCREAM UNCLE! BRING THE PAIN WE'VE GOT OUR GOOD OLD RECOVERY GIRL ON STANDBY, FIGHT DIRTY IF YOU MUST "ETHICS" HAVE NO MEANING IN A REAL FIGHT! THOUGH IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING, GOING FOR A KILL WILL GET YOU DISQUALIFIED AND WORSE, BUT DON'T WORRY WE'VE GOT HERO'S ON STANDYBY IF A FIGHT GOES TO FAR", Mic's use of the kill puts some people off, as well as the lack of care for ethics in a fight, but then again most people here are regular civilians who don't understand what it means to be on a field.
Can't say I have much experience, but facing death does give me a pass... I think.
The two below exchange some words out of earshot from everyone before Mic shouts "START", the two of them taking a passive approach.
From what I can tell Tsuyu has decided to take a more friendly approach, knowing that Midoriya could beat her with his quirk she decides to just show what she has in the first round and let Midoriya win so he can actually show off what he has.
People underestimate her friendliness and attentiveness, suppose I can somewhat relate to her in that regard.
As the seconds go by the two of them just shuffle around the field, neither of them attacking the other before Tsuyu takes the initiative.
Closing the distance quickly she dashes past him using her tongue to whip it at him forcing him to block.
Midoriya shifts his block, grabbing her tongue and pulling her closer, immediately attempting to restrain her with his strength, though he is only met with a kick from her legs forcing him back a bit.
'Suppose Midoriya still isn't that good at hand to hand combat yet, still never gonna understand why he never learned. Thankfully his intelligence is making up for his lack of skills.'
Tsuyu attempts to close the gap as he is stunned but he quickly recovers and manages to block a kick with his left arm.
The two go back and forth, Tsuyu constantly dodging around before Midoriya seems to go to end the fight, pulling his left pinky up, his thumb holding it before sending out a huge wave of wind sending Tsuyu out of the arena.
"Asui is out of the ring! Midoriya moves onto the next round!", Midnight cracks her whip as the people lets out cheers.
The fight was overall alright, but that's to be expected with the circumstances, glancing across the stage I can make out some of the heroes talking amongst each other, nodding every now and then.
The two of them head through the separate entrances, Tsuyu holding her body a bit.
"MAN! That was so manly of them!"
"SHUT UP SHITTY HAIR THEY BOTH SUCKED."
"Bakugou watch your mouth!", a couple of the classmates start bickering amongst each other, predominantly Ida and Bakugou, though Kirishima, Kaminari, and even a single sentence Shoji joins in -something about yelling to loudly.
Shoji being the tallest guy in class, 6'4, he has 6 arms with a webbed like connection between them. There is a blue mask that wraps around his face and a set of white-gray flat hair draped over his right eye -which is black.
(Am I using -'s right? Meh it works)
As they're bickering Midoriya enters the room along with Asui, Midoriya with a bandage around his left pinky.
"Man that fight had a 'shocking' ending", Kaminari gives a set of finger guns, getting a groan from some of the classmates.
"You both truly gave it your all just as a 1-A student should", Ida appears beside Midoriya, giving the smaller of the two a scare.
'Class 1-A... Wait what about Shinso? He never amounted to much I think, useful? Definitely, but suppose if needed he will probably be pulled out in the future because of 「Fate」'.
"THE WAIT IS OVER! MOVING ON, THE CREAM OF THE CROP YES THIS GUY IS AS PLAIN AS THEY COME, HANTA SERO OF THE HERO COURSE VERSUS THE BEST OF THE BEST, STRONGEST OF THE STRONGEST, SHOTO TODOROKI ALSO OF THE HERO COURSE!"
Sero has black down-spiked hair that reaches his shoulders, straight black eyes, and tape elbows. Overall a plain guy, but a chill one, about to be chiller.
'Poor Sero'
"START!"
Sero immediately attempts to end the fight, shouting about how he doesn't feel like losing before the entire arena is covered in ice.
...
...
"S-Sero c-can you move?", Midnight in her half frozen state manages to shiver out her question.
"You're kidding right?", at his response Midnight calls the match as everyone explodes into cheers, unfreezing Sero and what I can assume to be apologizing.
"He really stood no chance huh", Setsuna grabs onto me, shivering in her spot.
I activate my quirk, creating a pushing barrier in front of our observation deck pushing out some of the cold air.
"Not really, Sero is best at his versatility and in city like areas, even if Todoroki didn't do that he wouldn't have been able to win".
"M-man Todoroki has no 'chill' does he", the 'pun-master' Kaminari chuckles out, a slight shiver still in his voice.
Setsuna quickly stands, her match being next.
"Good luck", she gives me a light hug before standing up and heading off.
I notice Midoriya also talking to Uraraka before she heads off.
Sero and Todoroki quickly return, the former with a towel that was lent to him.
Everyone gets to talking as I pull out my book going over some of the stuff before the next match starts.
MC POV - Couple Minute Skip
It took a bit longer to start the next round due to a 'small issue'.
"Sorry for the delay. ANYWAY ONTO THE NEXT ROUND, SOMEONE WHO PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN THE SECOND ROUND FOR HER TEAM, OCHACO URARAKA VERSUS SOMEONE WHO ALSO PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN HER ROUND, SETSUNA TOKAGE", giving a rather odd(?) introduction the two enter onto the stage, seemingly exchanging words to one another.
"Who do you think will win", Momo takes a seat beside me, Jiro following her around.
My hand petting Kuro, who had hanging with Recovery Girl in between rounds, "Depends on how their quirks react, buy my bets on Setsuna due to her quirks nature".
Momo nods in agreement, "If for some reason Uraraka's quirk works on her she's probably lost, but even then as long as a part of Tokage touches the ground she should lose correct".
I pause for a moment, "yeah... suppose I didn't think about that".
Hearing my words Momo seems to get a slightly brighter smile, 'prideful huh'.
"But even if it does work Setsuna can telekinetically control her limbs so even then Uraraka would be playing a dangerous game getting so close to edge of the ring to guarantee the outing", Jiro sits there quietly listening to us analyze the possibilities of the fight.
"START!"
Setsuna doesn't hesitate to initiate the fight, immediately her arms detach from the shoulder down, the two limbs fly out attempting to grab the brunette.
Uraraka quickly dodges, opting to charge the main body, quickly closing the distance she makes a fatal flaw, tunnel vision.
Setsuna's detached leg trips her as she goes to grab the falling girl, her arms now reattached.
As she falls she seems to float for a moment before her body completely twist 270 degrees, her legs locking onto Setsuna's shoulder, tapping her fingers together her body weight bringing the two to the floor.
Attempting to use her thighs to subdue her opponent a whistle comes from Kaminari getting a tongue whip from Tsuyu.
'That was a mistake', immediately Setsuna's upper half of her head detaches as her arms spring off grabbing the others arms holding them together and quickly restraining her.
Uraraka attempts to do anything she can do break out of it but a swift quick to her stomach blows the air out of her before she is thrown out of the arena.
'She's gotten better at controlling her limbs, can't help but feel proud, Odd'
"Ochaco Uraraka is out of the ring, Setsuna Tokage is declared the winner and will move onto the next round!", Midnight again cracks her whip, the stage again going into a round of applause, less so than Todoroki's round but more than Midoriya's.
Setsuna goes and helps Ochaco up and they both head back through their entrances.
"You're looking happier", Jiro speaks up from her spot.
"Hm? Suppose I feel happier"
"It only makes sense your girlfriend won her match, you must be feeling prideful about that", Momo gives her explanation as to why.
'Is that it...', I give a small smile to the two of them.
"Yeah guess so".
"Well aren't you mingling away", a pair of familiar arms wrap around my neck.
Setsuna carries a prideful aura around her, obviously happy at her win before looking at me, seeing my smile hers only grows bigger.
"It's nice seeing you smile more, maybe I should keep performing better if this is the reward I get", a few comments come from our classmates at the display of affection, Ida going to pretest is stopped as Setsuna sits by me.
Today's been an interesting day... but a good one, a peaceful one.
Petting Kuro I lay my head atop of Setsuna's simply enjoying the moment.
Enjoy the simple things huh...

8:38 AM, I woke up at like 3PM yesterday 17ish hours, not bad but I've eaten like 2 things today and I'm tired, but I did it, I finished the chapter.
I took several breaks throughout this chapter due to writing it while in a call with a friend, started at like 2 am maybe?
Stopped to watch Tik-Tok Videos, Crime videos on YT, Pace while listening to music ETC, honestly probably the longest it's taken me to write a chapter.
It's not like I didn't want to do it, no I was invested but I kept clearing my mind due to my tiredness to make sure the chapter went the way I wanted.
Sorry for the quick fights but it is a POV thing plus the fights are meant to be quick, point of a tournament, plus they're inexperienced so the smallest mistake can end a fight, though I did show some of their potential/intelligence like with Ochaco's flip.
Anyway hope you all enjoyed!
Question of the Chapter: Y'all seeing the JJK Leaks again, they done did the thing and bonk. Yep that's my explanation (Don't put spoilers in the comments at least not without a warning.
