"I am Lucifer Von Hellsing, the Lord that rules over demons, and the dominator of Hell."
The demon lord speaks his true name as his dark aura exploded outwardly, his very presence forced the gravity to obey to his will. The pale blue flame trembled, every parts of her body screams at her to retreat. This wasn't the enemy that she could defeat even with thousand strong parties, he was an immovable force like that of natural disasters. Not even her eyes could find any flaws, as if the very concept itself is rendered meaningless to him because he stood above it.
"Um... you're Kousuke right? Seele's brother?" Miko asked, her voice lack of any fear as if the whole flair doesn't affect her at all. The person in front of her looks completely different from the Kousuke she knew, it wasn't just his appearance that changed. However, the only person who possessed this kind of power in the virtual world could also be the very man himself. Thus, by the process of elimination, it is obvious that the Demon Lord is Kousuke.
"Kousuke? Hmph, Thou must meant one of those foolish heroes... they all died by mine hands, fear stricken their face. At least it provided entertainment in mine long live, for I am—"
Kousuke pretended he didn't know who she was talking about and continue his villain monologue. But he couldn't get into the backstory of Lucifer before a girl emerged from behind his throne and cutely glares at him.
"Mou! Brother, you promised me you won't do something like this so I wait like a good girl you said I am. And yet, you went against your words!" Valerie said with a pout. His whole villain atmosphere completely disrupted alongside her emergence, as if the entire thing was built from sand and being washed by the shore.
"My precious little sister, listen to my reasoning first. How could I, your great brother, possessing this much power in this world of zero and one hold himself back from pranking someone? It's my right to do so! Don't you see how scared she looks? That means my prank works! Come, praise your brother brilliance plan!"
As he finished speaking, his entire figure literally erupted in blinding light. But it only lasted for a few seconds before everything shattered by Valerie's next words.
"I hate you, brother!"
The look on his face was a sight for Miko's eyes. It was as if a young boy was told by his crush that she liked someone else during the confession. Like a shut-in being informed by his mother that his figure collection were sold by her for cheap to the neighbor's kid. Or when a football fan saw their favourite player purposely play terribly on an important match. The sheer helplessness was through the roof, or in this case, the cave's ceiling.
"I-I was just hearing things right? There's no way my adorable and beloved sister just say something so out of character, yeah! That must be it!" He muttered in denial. His hand reach out to pat her head like usual, however, she moved away just before his palm touched her hair. He looks even more hurtful, like a sad puppy being abandoned in the house with dogsitter while the family go on the vacation trip.
Kousuke slumped to the ground with his hands and knees, the devastated expression on his face looks rather genuine to Miko so she feels pretty awkward. After all, Valerie did it for her, at the same time however, Miko didn't want her to be the focal point that caused the two sibling(fake) disconnected from each other.
"Uh, I don't think you need to go that far, Seele. Your brother looks pretty depressed," she said hesitantly. Valerie glanced at him with one eye open; a brief crack formed in her sulking expression as guilt crept onto her face. But before her earlier resolve could crumble, a maid materialize out of thin air in front of him. It was none other than Belfast. She went to her knees and put her hands on his shoulders. Kousuke looks up and realized it was his loyal battleship-cum-maid, so he went straight for the hug with his face planted into her stomach and his arms wrapped securely around her waist.
"Bel! Can you believe what just happened? My precious little sister dodged my headpat! My poor heart felt crushed, almost suffocating even." He began narrating what had just occurs as if it was the most heart-wrenching moment of his life. Belfast simply listened with a smile, her hand gently stroke his hair. It was like the scene of a family, Kousuke being the disappointed father and Belfast the caring mother, then Valerie the upset daughter who rebelled against her father for the first time. At least that were the impression Miko felt, she wasn't the least bit surprise that someone could just appear out of nowhere. At this point, she's even starting to feel like a third-party and begins wondering why she is here to begin with.
"M-Mou! Stop overreacting! All I did was moved to the side, it's your fault for breaking the promise anyway!"
"...The promise was I shouldn't go too far with my prank, and I still committed to it. If not, I would've broadcast my entire villain monologue to the whole server and even starts the first ever World Quest to motivate the rest of the players." Kousuke replied honestly. Belfast truly believes that, after all, she have almost all of his knowledge up until the day of her manifestation in virtual world. Valerie only knew him for a few months, yet she also realized he was telling the truth.
Kousuke is definitely the type of person to fully commit to his prank just to get a good laugh out of his system. She had lived with him, so she had seen such occasions a few times, especially in the clubroom at school. After all, he was a known prankster even before he was summoned to Otherworld, Issei can guarantee that with his future as harem king on the line.
"Um... I don't mind the melodrama, but do you mind telling me why you need me first?" Miko finally asks the question of century. Kousuke snapped out of his fake tears and recalled the actual reason he had Valerie delivered his message to her friend, and that was the invitation to his newly made dungeon. He considered for a moment before deciding to remain laying on Belfast's soft thigh as he turned his head to face Mikopi(35P).
"Nothing much, I was just curious how you were getting by. Did you run into anything abnormal in real life? Like some suspicious people following you to your house? Or a bird acting rather creepy?" He asked nonchalantly. Like opening a conversation starting with the weather, so casual yet the content was akin to throwing a grenade at her face.
