The Morning After
Ethan stood by the door, shoes laced and ready for the office, still wondering if Viona had managed to sleep at all after the chaos of the previous night. He was just about to reach for the doorknob when the doorbell rang violently, followed by the sound of Viona's frantic voice screaming for him to open up.
The moment the lock clicked open, a force of nature collided with him.
Viona threw herself into his arms, squeezing him so tightly he could barely breathe. She dragged her hands over his shoulders and chest, desperately checking to ensure he was entirely in one piece.
"Welcome home," Ethan murmured, a little breathless.
"Haaa... I missed you so much," Viona choked out. Her voice was trembling, hoarse, and thick with unshed tears. But the vulnerability lasted only a second before her eyes flared with sudden anger. "Let's talk later. Where is she? Where is Aria? I need to finish my conversation with her!"
