Novus 25, 3023, Day of Satur, 4:23 a.m.

Fairie Castle, Count's Domain, Count Luxen Kingdom.

A naked and beautiful red-haired woman in her early 20s was sleeping beside a naked light blonde-haired man in his early 30s, with their lower bodies covered by the blanket. The room they were in was a windowless room. Not because it was a design quirk, but due to the fact that it was located underground, specifically on the third basement floor.

The woman slowly opened her eyes and stared at the clock.

4:16 a.m.

She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them once again and then finally sitting up. But instead of standing up right away and doing what she had to do, she waited, giving her entire body time to wake up.

"Is it time already…?" a sleepy voice asked behind her.

The woman turned to her back and saw the man facing her with half-opened eyes.

"My privates are still so sore…"

Chud.

The man grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him, making her sit on top of him.

Smooch.

He squeezed her butt cheeks as he planted a kiss on her lips.

"That's because you're too perfect, my love," he said and smiled.

The woman pouted her lips and looked to the side.

"I know you say that to everyone."

Smooch, smooch, smooch.

The man planted a few kisses on the woman's face.

"I, Frank of the Prism and the Wegnes family, swear to the Elemental Gods and my great ancestors that I only say those words to Giselle, my one and only true love."

Giselle didn't say anything. But as she sat on top of Frank, she felt his member starting to swell against her private part.

Frank, who was still holding on to Giselle's buttcheeks, started moving her hips back and forth, rubbing her clit against his huge and rock-solid member.

Giselle's lips slowly broke into a tired but playful smile, and then she began moving her hips on her own as she dug her nails against Frank's shoulders.

Frank let go of her buttcheeks and began running his hands on her thighs.

"One more round before you go, my love?" he asked with a grin.

They now both felt their private parts starting to be drenched with the familiar slimy liquid.

Giselle bit her lower hip and started moving her hips a bit faster.

"Just one round, okay…? I don't want to be late and lose my new position…" she said in heavy breaths.

Frank hungrily latched onto her breasts, and then he began rubbing, sucking and licking them, causing her to let out a loud gasp.

4:46 a.m.

Basement Floor 3, Fairie Castle, Luxen Kingdom.

Giselle was dressed in a maid's uniform as she entered a busy hall filled with beautiful women.

There were maids dressed like her; some were already pushing carts to somewhere else, while the others were waiting beside a cart.

There were female chefs barking orders from the kitchen.

And there were Governesses; most of them were overseeing the work flow from the kitchen room, laundry room and other rooms, while a few were busy inspecting the carts.

Everyone here, especially the maids, were extremely beautiful. The maids were so beautiful that one could imagine a man throwing away all reason and logic just to get one of them.

Giselle went towards her group, where there were 3 equally beautiful maids like her standing beside a half-empty cart.

"You're late," one maid, a woman in her early 20s with short pink hair, whispered to her.

"I am not," Giselle said.

"You should be here 15 minutes before 5:00 a.m."

"I did."

"Quiet, you two," the Head Maid of their group, a bespectacled woman in her mid-20s with black hair tied into a bun, whispered. "If you two want to lose this position and go back to carrying buckets and scrubbing floors, go make a formal request on your own."

Giselle and the pink-haired maid immediately settled down. Meanwhile, the fourth maid, a half-white and half-black woman in her late teens with curly orange hair tied into a ponytail, remained silent.

A Governess in her late 30s, accompanied by another Governess in her late 20s, both of them with light blonde hair, approached them.

Giselle and her group curtsied that was befitting for a top-tier maid.

"Good morning, Lady Governess Maggie, Lady Governess Stella."

Maggie, the Governess in her late 30s, gave a quick glance at the half-empty cart for a moment before turning to Giselle and her group.

She first looked at the Head Maid up and down.

She moved to the pink-haired maid.

"Messy eyeliner."

Stella, the Governess in her late 20s, wrote it down on a paper inside her folder.

Maggie moved to Giselle.

"Why are you sweating?"

Giselle lowered her head.

"I'm very sorry, Lady Governess."

Maggie moved to the half-white and half-black maid.

"Hair tie color doesn't match the uniform."

Stella wrote it down.

"Who is this group assigned to?" Maggie asked.

The Head Maid stepped forward and then curtsied.

"We're assigned to Lady Mistress Zita, Lady Governess."

"How many offenses has this group committed?"

Stella checked her notes.

"3 offenses for this week. All minor. No repeat offenses.

"17 for the month. Still all minor, but with one repeat offense related to perfume. On Novus 9, the perfume was too strong. And then on Novus 15, the perfume was too weak."

"Make sure to remind me if this group reaches 20 offenses before the month ends."

Stella lowered her head.

"Yes, Lady Governess."

Maggie moved to the next group of maids.

In this Aristocratic Noble family, when it came to the women, they had a hierarchy:

• Group 1 or at the top was a Count and former Counts -- assuming that it was a female -- and they carried the Prism last name

• Group 2 were the female descendants with 5 True Magic Art Affinities and they carried the Prism last name

• Group 3 were the female descendants with 4 True Magic Art Affinities and they carried the Prism last name

• Group 4 was 2 sub-groups. One group were the female descendants with 3 True Magic Art Affinities and they carried the Prism last name. Meanwhile, the other group were female outsiders from Noble families with 3-4 True Magic Art Affinities

• Group 5 was also 2 sub-groups. One group were the female descendants with 2 True Magic Art Affinities and they carried the Wegnes last name. Meanwhile, the other group were female outsiders from Noble families with 2 True Magic Art Affinities

• Group 6 were the female outsiders from Commoner families who could work as maids, assistant chefs, personal assistants and marry into the Prism or Wegnes family, but most would prefer the men with the Prism last name because they're from the main family. And since they're not expected to bring Lore Magic, Magic Art Affinities or familial connections that come with Nobility, they are at least expected to bring beauty

Maggie and Stella were part of Group 4. Meanwhile, Giselle and her maid companions were part of Group 6.

In Giselle's case, given that she's part of Group 6, she chose to be with Frank who had 3 Magic Art Affinities and carries the Prism last name.

The way she sees it, if she aimed for Aristocratic Noble men with 5 or 4 Magic Art Affinities, the most likely outcome for her was that she would be nothing more than a sex toy and then be tossed away once the man becomes bored with her.

Meanwhile, if she aimed for the Aristocratic Noble men with 3 Magic Art Affinities, although the chances of her becoming a wife were very low, the chances of her becoming a concubine were very high. In addition to that, even if she only ends up as a concubine, there's still a high chance of her being able to control the man through sex.

As for the Aristocratic Noble men with 2 Magic Art Affinities, she has zero interest in them because they have zero political power within the Aristocratic Noble families. She would be better off marrying a Noble with 3 Magic Art Affinities and then take half of his assets through divorce, or marry a Priest with 2 Magic Art Affinities and enjoy all of the benefits of being a Priest's wife.

6:01 a.m.

Ka-cha!

A door opened and as soon as Giselle and her maid companions stepped inside with the cart, they immediately started doing their jobs.

The Head Maid and the pink-haired maid went to the master bedroom, Giselle started laying out the breakfast on the living room, and the half-white and half-black maid went to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, the Head Maid and a sleepy 10-year-old light blonde-haired girl still in her sleeping pajamas stepped out of the bedroom.

"Lady Zita, please walk that's befitting of someone of your status," the Head Maid said as she escorted the child to one of the three-person sofas in the living room.

When Zita finally sat on the sofa and Giselle finished laying out the breakfast, she turned to her.

"Giselle, will you continue your story about the ocean tonight?"

Giselle, who just stood up and was about to stand on the corner beside the cart to wait for Zita to eat her breakfast, curtsied.

"As you wish, Lady Zita," she said and then stood at the corner beside the cart.

Zita grabbed a knife and fork and began slicing a piece of bread that was topped with different kinds of fruits and honey. Meanwhile, the rest of the maids waited in silence.

Zita was part of Group 2. Meaning, she had 5 True Magic Art Affinities, her family's Lore Magic, and she carried the Prism last name.

Ever since she was born, she has never gone above basement floor 3, so she had no idea what the outside world looked like, she has only read or heard about it. And she spends her days doing nothing but study and train.

It would only be at 15 years old, during her Coming of Age Ceremony, when she would finally be able to see the surface world for the first time. But even then, she still won't be allowed to leave the premises of Fairie Castle. And when she reaches at least 18 years old and has enough Physical and Magic Force to defend herself against most people who would try to kidnap her to use her as a breeding vessel or whatever evil purposes the kidnapper plans to do, that's when she'll finally be able to leave Fairie Castle and visit Prism Town and Siera Village, her family's human settlements.

Furthermore, although she's only 10 years old at the moment, she's also already engaged to someone. But an official announcement has yet to be made by her family -- it might be announced during or after her Coming of Age Ceremony, depending on the decision of her family.

Zita placed her knife and fork down, but she didn't finish the entire dish. She picked a glass of milk and then took a few sips before putting it down and standing up.

"I'm done. Take me to bath now."

"Lady Zita, you have to at least finish half of your meal and milk. You have Rune Crafting class for this morning with Lord Scholar Ben and the others," the Head Maid said.

Zita turned to her.

"I said I'm done."

"Lady Zita, if you get a headache and can't concentrate because of hunger during Lord Scholar Ben's class, he might report you to Lady Governess Tara."

Lady Governess Tara wasn't Zita's mother. There's a reason why Aristocratic Noble children aren't allowed to be raised by their own parents.

Zita's father was a 5-Magic-Art Viscount under the Count Faction in the Verglas Kingdom. Meanwhile, her mother was a 4-Magic-Art female from the Count's family in the Luxen Kingdom.

When the first child was born, it was a male, who had 3 True Magic Art Affinities and didn't have any Lore Magic. So he was "recycled".

When the second child was born, it was Zita, who had 5 True Magic Art Affinities and had her mother's Lore Magic. So she was given the Prism last name and then left to be raised in her mother's family.

When the third child was born, it was a female, who had 5 True Magic Art Affinities and didn't have any Lore Magic. So she was "recycled".

And when the fourth child was born, it was a male, who had 5 True Magic Art Affinities and the father's Lore Magic. So he was given to the father's family.

Because of this "recycling", the parents aren't allowed to raise their own children because it would only cause more trauma, especially for the mother's psyche. So the raising of the children was left to the family's Governesses and Scholars.

Meanwhile, those who were going to be the next leader (Duke, Marquis, Count, Viscount or Baron) will be personally raised by the predecessor of the current leader.

When Zita's eyes turned to slits and she balled her fists, Giselle immediately stepped in.

"Lady Zita, if you finish half of your breakfast, I'll tell you the story about another Lore Monster fish that can talk and only appears during a full moon."

Zita relaxed and then turned to Giselle.

"I want you to tell me a long story, not a short one."

Giselle nodded.

"Yes, of course, it's a long story. So long that it would take me a week to tell you everything about it."

"You promise?"

"I promise."

Zita returned to her seat and then happily resumed eating her breakfast.

10:38 p.m.

Ka-cha!

A door opened and Giselle entered with a tired look on her face.

Frank, who was sitting down at the living room and polishing his ligh green-colored armor, stopped what he was doing and turned to her.

"My love, you're back."

Giselle made a sad pouting face, went over to him, and then slipped around his arms.

Smooch.

Frank planted a small kiss on Giselle's head.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

A small smile broke out on Frank's lips.

"I know and love you enough to know that when you say nothing, it's a lot of things. Come on, tell me, we promised each other that there won't be any secrets between us, right?" he said and then hugged her a bit tighter.

Giselle thought about it for almost a minute before finally speaking.

"It's a lot of things…"

"About what?"

Giselle thought about it for almost another minute once again.

"Ever since I started living here 3 years ago, I'm just…

"At first I was so excited to finally see how Aristocratic Nobles live -- the mansions and castles, the expensive clothes, the lavish parties, the demi-god-like powers you all wield…

"But the more I learn about it, the more I realize how lucky the Commoners are. At least with Commoners, we're able to choose whoever we want to be and do whatever we want to do…"

She turned to Frank's face and softly placed her hand on the right side of his face.

"You, Lady Zita, all of the Aristocratic Nobles… I can't even imagine not knowing what the sun, moon and stars look like until finally reaching 15 years old for the Coming of Age Ceremony…

"And even after that, none of you still have any say in your lives…

"How do you people find any reason to live, my love…?"

Frank placed his hand over Giselle's hand on his face, grabbed it, and then kissed it with his eyes closed.

"You are the sole reason I breathe," he said it like a prayer.

Giselle didn't say anything.

Frank suddenly wore a serious expression and he turned to her.

"Do you remember what we talked about last Julus?"

"Yes…?"

"I was already planning to tell you this after we have dinner and showered. But since we're like this, I think this is the best time."

Giselle's brows knitted together.

"What are you trying to say, my love?"

"Before the monster attack incident at Siera Village happened, I told you about a secret passage out of this castle, remember?"

"You told me to use it in case I have to escape from here."

"I've heard rumors that a few Priests from Luxen City has been asking around about the monster incident at Prism Town and Siera Village."

Giselle pulled her hand away, slipped from Frank's arms, and then sat up straight.

"They're going to make another investigation?"

Frank smiled.

"That's one of the things I love about you. Behind that beautiful and perfect face of yours, you're very smart," he said and nodded. "Yes, it seems that way, or perhaps they already have."

"But your family is going to take care of it like last time, right?"

"Yes. But just in case, I want you to use that secret passage I told you about," he said and grabbed Giselle's hands. "My love, don't tell anyone about this, not even to your maid companions. Even when rumors start to spread around the castle, don't say anything and keep your head down. Promise me this."

Giselle nodded.

"I promise, my love."
