A day had passed since they had gone on the dirt road into the forest, Jasper was starting to think his mother had lied about taking him home in the first place. But then again, he knew that no matter how much she schemed she would never lie about something important.
The carriage ride had been so quiet since then, he didn't really want to talk much no matter how many times she tried to start a conversation.
"Your Grace! The rest point is up ahead", the guard sitting in front the coach called out. Jasper ears pipped up in curiosity, his hand pulling the curtain to the side to look out the window. Just as the guard had said, there was indeed a rest point.
It was an average sized two storey building in a large clearing, it looked very ordinary with nothing special about it besides the big well at the side. About ten coaches where parked in the clearing, they appeared rather orderly with five on each side.
