The travel between the capital of Wisteria to our duchy in the Draconian Empire took two months, and within that two months was a bit uncomfortable for me who is not used to the poor quality of the road, the bumpy carriage, and the time it took to travel.
'Oh, I miss traveling by car or by plane where it was faster.' I thought to myself. 'And a lot safer as well.'
The road we are taking is the called the 'Imperial Road' since it is the main road used to travel to the empire from the Heathfield Duchy. Because this is a famous road used by many, especially merchants, many bandits try their luck in hijacking convoys. Our own convoy was not an exception. Even with my father's banners hanging around our convoy, some bandits were dumb to try and rob us along the way. But of course, their efforts were in vain since our duchy's knights are formidable. There were also some low level fiends that hunt the road at night and the knights were able to fend them off and keep the convoy safe.
