Chapter 15 - Chapter 14 First Day Of New Job

After finishing their greetings, Grimes said, "Let's get to Colossal now. Today's the special ceremony of the festival, so we better get to work." He pulled out a strange-looking device — it looked like wood mixed with metal and had a single button on it.

"We always use this thing to teleport instantly to places where it's been set up," he explained.

Oh wow, I thought. This is real. I never expected this world to actually have something like this…Then I smirked to myself. Well, I'm not that shocked. I kinda knew things like this would exist here anyway.

Grimes pressed the button, and a glowing white circle appeared beneath our feet.

"Jack, you should prepare yourself. I guess it's your first time traveling with one of these, right?"

Grimes looked at me with a gentle face.

I blinked, puzzled. "Yeah, for real. But why did you tell me to prepa—huh?"

Before I could finish my words, the light flared brighter — like a flashbang — and then… everything vanished.

The next second, I felt like I was being sucked through a hurricane. My whole body twisted, stretched, and spun at the same time. "AAAHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" I screamed, my voice echoing into nothingness.

Colors swirled around me—blue, green, purple, even ones I couldn't name. Strange symbols flashed in and out like they were alive. My stomach flipped, my ears rang, and for a moment, I thought my body was turning into mist.

"GRIMES!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MEEEEE?!"

A bright light exploded again, and suddenly—thud!—I hit the ground hard. My head spun like a broken compass.

Okay… note to self, I thought weakly. Teleporting sucks.

(Colossal)

"We've arrived! Fun ride, right, Jack?" Grimes turned toward me with a grin.

"Ughttttttt" my head go lazy what a....horrible Experian. "What… a horrible experience. I don't like teleporting at all. It's too fast—I couldn't even react! My body refused to balance itself. I groaned again, "Ughh…"

"HAHAHA! you look so pathetic I told you to prepare but look at you HAHAHA can you get up now" grime look at me with Mocking face.

"Don't you see my situation right now!" I snapped weakly

"Fine I give you a hand" I grabbed his hand and forced myself to stand. My legs shook, but I managed. It's my first time. I'll get used to it… soon eventually.

"Did you feeling fine now jack"

"Yes I am okay"

Stone, standing beside him, looked at me with a puzzled face and rubbed his chin "You saying weird word again"

"It not weird okay mean Fine"

"Oh! really"

"Enough talking," Grimes interrupted. "Let's hurry up. The first battle's about to start!"We entered a small storage room filled with cleaning tools and equipment. Everyone started picking up their gear. Grimes tossed me a mask and a small broom..

I looked down at it and sighed. You've gotta be kidding me. I'm supposed to clean an entire area the size of three office buildings… with this tiny thing?

"Don't be like that jack this thing not the simple thing. It is powerful it great to clean a big area in one swap big area. This magic broom create by the boss. He was the magic genius. this just small invention he created "

So the boss was a magic genius. Never thought old man like him was so great like this. It seems he hides his real side pretty well.

Suddenly, a loud "WOOOOHHHHHH!" echoed from the main arena.

I turned toward the entrance, where the crowd's roar filled the air.

A woman with cat ears stood at the center, holding a crystal microphone."Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the Colossal Festival! You've all been waiting for this day, right? Can I hear you cheer one more time!?"

"WOOOOOOOOOO!!!" the crowd roared.

"Alright!" she shouted excitedly. "Let the festival begin with our first battle! Welcome our first contestant—Kana, from the Black Elf tribe!"

The left gate opened, revealing a dark-skinned elf woman. Her black robe flowed like smoke, her upper outfit tight enough to show her toned body. Her slender frame and smooth skin shimmered under the lights—she looked both dangerous and beautiful.

"And her opponent—our former champion, Duka, the Great Ogre Fighter!"

The right gate burst open. A massive ogre woman with muscles like steel walked in proudly, waving at the crowd with a bold, confident smile.

I glanced at Stone—his whole face turned red as he trembled slightly."Stone…" I muttered. You okay there, buddy?

"Everyone, enjoy the battle!" the announcer shouted. "Let the fight—BEGIN!!!"

The arena fell silent for a moment as both Kana and Duka locked eyes.

Duka cracked her neck. "I don't need a weapon to crush you. Surrender now."

Kana said nothing.

Duka frowned. "Didn't you hear me? I said SURRENDER before I snap!"

Still no reply. Kana just stared at her coldly, her piercing eyes sharp as daggers.

"Hey! Are you ignoring me!?" Duka roared, finally losing her temper.

She charged forward like a raging bull and threw a punch—

BOOM!!!

The ground shook. Dust exploded into the air.

Everyone—including me—froze.

"What… the hell…" I whispered in shock.
