Upon closer inspection, Ou Yanan realized what the problem was: the hat Lingxin was wearing was one he had seen on Er Houzi's head before; it should have belonged to Er Houzi.
Ou Yanan's brows furrowed immediately, and his heart tightened even more. Seeing the child like this made him, as an uncle, feel uncomfortable. Moreover, being a doctor, he knew very well what was happening.
He put down the magazine in his hand and walked over to the child.
Seeing the adult approaching, Lingxin fixed his gaze on the man's face and said, "Uncle."
"I'm here." Ou Yanan bent down to meet the child's little face, "Are you afraid of making mom worry, so you dare not say anything? It's okay, we're both men; you can tell me anything."
Lingxin's unmoving eyes finally stirred a bit.
Without waiting for Lingxin to respond, good or bad, Ou Yanan took him back to the room and closed the door.
