Chapter 458 - Chapter 458: Mechanical Hands

"Okay, so whatever your clock hands hit, it causes an effect." Solomon would start, already starting to understand what her magic may be. He'd recall the three moments that would allow him to learn what it was specifically, a risk he was taking as he'd rush over, seeing the barrier now has a proper hole, an idea spurring on. Juna would giggle as she'd launch down two hands again, one barely nicking at Solomon's ear, blood trickling down as he'd cast a spell. Shady would warp the child within such darkness the moment Juna tried to swoop down for the kill, following the two, before being spat out and slammed into the barrier, forcing the clock hands to strike again, the lights getting brighter.

FWOOOSH!!!

A massive blast of fire from her shadow, as Solomon comes out and burns her alive, yet no screams or grunts were heard. Rather a cheerful laugh as she'd cast her magic again. One moment, she was there. The next, she was gone, right in front of Solomon, a stab straight through his chest, spearing him down on the ground. A guttural scream was made as the Biblical Sorcerer struggled to get it off, yet the mad woman merely laughed. "Coo~! You should've paid attention, little one! Then again, you and everyone else tend to rush things. Another story to tell. Another word to sell. Ta-ta, Coo~!" She'd taunt, waving goodbye as she'd allow the lights to detonate, the damage set, the death imminent. Despite this, however, Solomon merely remained calm, as he'd see she was trying to use his magic against him. He was able to see the process unfold, watching the lights go faster and faster, not in a rush, but simply because they moved. A drastic measure, as Solomon would cast Might of Samson, smacking at the ground and causing it to teeter up, the floorboards breaking, a pothole made to hold down Juna, as he'd let his previous spell heal him back to full. Another cast was set, reversing the wounds he recovered, forcing them to open again, as she'd raise her hands to block the incoming explosion.

KA-BOOOOOOOM!!!!!

The two parted, and while Solomon would be heavily burned, Eden was able to let him survive, another cast set to ensure his recovery was swift. Juna was also damaged, but mainly in the form of half her face scarred off, her left arm singed under the light, a dim glow as if she was made of metal. "You reversed it." Solomon began, standing on his feet as he'd gaze down at the living Cuckoo Clock. "You paused my attack to ensure a lethal hit. You reversed me so that I could either be angled for a better strike or for the damage to stick, and you made my spells go faster. You control time, don't you?" He'd ask, only responded by a wicked laugh as her head bobbed back and forth, her tongue loosely flying.

"You found it coo~!! Yes! That is my perfect style: Time Magic! Anything I strike falls under the whims of time itself. I can stop it. I can rewind it. I can even fast forward it! The wonders of time, it is! To ensure my life is spared from whatever wrath may come, so long as my hands reach you coo~!" She'd cheer, almost excited to express her magic.

"And a pretty obvious weakness, from the looks of things. You really sure you want to let me know this stuff?"

"Indubitably~! After all... Time rules all. We all fall to it, eventually. I'm merely his wonderous follower, all to spread the word and let them know the Ruler will take whatever it wants with no consequence. Why fight it, anyway? It's a constant that will apply to everyone, regardless of who or what it may be."

"Existential much?"

"Only when my passion calls for it, coo~. Enough talk. Let's keep our smile and play some more, shall we~?"

Meanwhile, Stolas would rise himself back up and immediately scatter Aquarius around, melting the ice rink and walking forward, locking his eyes underneath his cowboy hat with the Nutcracker, unchanged by what's before him. Koske would ready more ice across his arms, letting it extend down to his greatsword, before taking aim and firing it, pillars of frost in an attempt to skewer the Avian. Stolas would parry each pillar before they made such contact, with Zodiac Man protecting him from most, having to endure the frost through the stars as his personal furnace. It wasn't long before Koske would try more extreme measures, stabbing his blade into the ground, letting the ice take the shape of hands as he'd channel his energy through it. "Second Dance..." he'd mumble, before such hands come alive.

Animated and violent, it tried to claw through Stolas' defenses and rip him limb from limb. The Stellar Sorcerer, however, prepared himself, blasting down hand after hand, charging in and using one of them as a platform once its fingers were melted off, letting them trail as he'd create Aries, the Constellation of the Ram, letting it run across and attempt to bulldoze Koske's head straight through, prompting him to drop his sword and move slightly away, letting Stolas fly right past, before curving his entire body around and launching a haymaker right at the Ram's mouth, causing the two to crash into a wall, the hands immediately set on slamming down and puncturing whatever was alive. Amidst the smoke and sparks, however, Stolas would step out, Sagittarius set, firing two shots at the Nutcracker's body, pushing him back just as much. Heavy breath was made as Stolas tried to adapt into the cold. Most of Zodiac Man was damaged, exposing his body to the chill, quickly being taken as a result. He'd try to fire his star-like shots at his arms in order to rebuild and reset his armor, before seeing Koske get himself up.

"Tres Bien... creature." The Nutcracker bellowed, his deep voice echoing louder because of the hollowed parts of the shop.

"That's 'Demon' to you, Christmas Man." A bit of snark, but by the injury he was forced to endure after the attack, he'd figure he was allowed to say such words.

"Diable...? You don't appear to be..."

"Well, I am. You should've known that from the get-go." Stolas would move his arms to sense how much feeling he has, before getting himself into a proper stance, the two star guns ready to fire back. "Now, we done talking?"

"Close...Comment as-tu son yeux...?" A sentence that would stunt the Avian, as he'd look down on himself.

Was he actually being just like him?
