Being carried over by one arm over his shoulder to such a gentle figure made Adel question what was his motive. He'd try to see if there was any ill-intent or any slight chance of ulterior motives for helping him in such a race, but so far, he's seen nothing. Not from his calm, golden eyes. Not from his composed strut. Fenrir would nudge at the Serpent and shake his head, letting him silently imply that there was nothing wrong here, and yet he can't accept that fact. In a race, it's do-or-die. It's every man for themselves, scraping by with the skin of their teeth to make it to the end. Such sportsmanship like this was not something he was used to during his time, especially with the mockery he had that led him being put in an unfair advantage.
To Adel, every win counts, at least as far as he had in his youth. One would have to use every tactic available to get a chance at victory.
He couldn't help himself. He had to know what was Adikon's reason. Before he was able to open his mouth, however, the man spoke up first. "Did you know that Galileo is keeping away some parts of this race? It's not just a mere 'tag and run' styled chase here." He'd began, looking over to see the Serpent stunted before he drew breath. He kept his mouth shut as he listened to his savior's words. "You can kind of see his intention with the whole 'Progress' spiel, but he wouldn't be able to believe us without proper evidence. There's satellites with some camera's placed up there to keep watch, recording us on every move. The 'tags' he wants on the planets could also be residue we can take along and let him experiment when we colonize. 'How would you take stuff from the Sun' you may ask, 'Ain't that just a big ball of gas that'll burn us alive the second we touch down?' Well, yes, but how else are we to meet the Man on the Sun in the first place?"
"...Is he also with that guy in trying to bring Alien Life?" Adel asked, his eyes widened once he put the pieces together.
"Any type of life, really. Plants, animals, stone. I'd wager he'd want bragging rights still, if his speech was to go by. Forgive me if I sounded like a broken record, I imagined you already heard this song and dance before." The way he described such conditions felt more like a shop rather than a potential quest disguised into the race itself. What that hooded figure said wasn't just a personal requirement, but a check-list that everyone must've known beforehand. It was odd he was recounting the same information, too, pulling his head back in thinking he was being told down like a child in regards to how the race is played. He'd try to speak out as to why he was regurgitating such words, until he saw something different in his eyes. They lit up, a light that shined through his pupils. A light that he was mesmerized, unable to form proper thoughts. "That is, however, the nature of this race. We must know what it is, and drill it into our heads enough to guarantee what we desire. I, for one, simply wish to enjoy my time on this race alongside the many others with Team Sky. Find your motivation proper, and salvation shall await you on the other side. Find salvation... and maybe you can be at peace proper, Adel."
"...How do you know my name?"
The man chuckled as he was questioned. "I overheard it, what else?" He'd point towards the camp Adel resided, progress already staggering at the base, a metallic frame with spray paint of stars and planets, less as decoration and more as markers so they can add their magic to the mix. The layout was open enough to house such spells, showing that it was planning on using their energy to either amplify or customize it further. A board was nearby that the kids argued on what they want to add on, with Stolas wanting to set up Drago for boosts, whilst Applin wanted more wings for direction. Solomon and Shady, meanwhile, kept tabs on such a debate, before noticing the wounded Adel, quickly rushing ahead to check up on him.
"Are you okay!? The hell-" He'd ask, before noticing the newcomer, quickly stepping back a bit as he'd let the Serpent be able to walk on his own, a small twinge of contempt towards Stolas at Adikon's face briefly visible, prompting the Biblical Sorcerer to prepare Shady in case he tries to attack. Thankfully, such a face disappears once he saw Solomon, maintaining his cheery smile instead.
"Found him wandering too close to Team Ballista's. Be careful there!" He'd tease, before heading out, letting the group see that other figures were following behind, hidden within the trees. All of them housed the same golden eyes, slowly dissipating as they turned their heads and left them to their own devices.
"...Okay, explain." Solomon asked, to which Fenrir was quick to pitch in.
"Adel and I wanted to know about our competition. There's more conditions than merely marking the planets. They seem to want to meet this 'Man on the Moon' and 'Sun', even dragging them into the circle."
"And you LED these guys here...?"
"Oh no, that's an entirely different team. We don't really know the reasons for that gentlemen over there..."
"Uh-huh. Right. Well, you guys hang tight. Make sure nobody else is going to take our stuff. We, meanwhile, need to get more materials. RIGHT!?" Solomon's shout was quick to catch the two bickering away, stopping them and letting them be pulled along. Adel would sigh as he'd sit near the board, letting Fenrir be by his side so he can relax himself after such an intense chase.
That man didn't felt human.
Somehow knowing his name, as well as the conditions of the tournament that seemingly everyone but them knows about. He never felt this type of presence before since his wedding, and even then, it was far stronger in terms of emotions. It was almost as if he was being guided to act in a certain way, but why?
