Hot Spring House. Demon King District.
The Elf Maiden came to Shami's side and gently lifted the Princess Shami floating on the water.
Shami opened her eyes in a bit of a daze.
"Lureya, it hurts..."
"Where does it hurt?"
"My back..."
"Your back is fine, Shami."
The Elf Maiden touched Shami's back and found no wounds.
"So what exactly happened, was it an assassination?"
The Elf Maiden looked around nervously; there was nothing unusual around the hot spring. It had been just her and Shami all along, but to be safe, she quickly activated layer upon layer of the Spirit Protection Array to cover the entire hot spring.
Shami, realizing that her back was indeed still intact, slowly sat up straight in the hot spring.
"No, it's not. It's something scarier than an assassination."
Seeing the worried and fearful expression on the Elf Maiden's face, Shami couldn't bring herself to tell her about the dragon tail squeezing incident and held back the grievance in her heart, lying.
