She looked out the window and spoke in a calm tone, "I have severe hypoglycemia. I haven't eaten anything or had a sip of water since the night before last."
Sheng Tang abruptly halted his steps.
He turned his head, staring at An Li.
"So what? Even if you have an episode, I'll just force-feed you food. Do you think this would stump me?"
An Li's smile deepened, "I also have stress-induced allergic asthma. Normal treatment methods not only don't help me but can even be life-threatening."
Sheng Tang stopped talking.
But his gaze was locked on her, seemingly assessing the credibility of her words.
An Li met his gaze, neither humble nor pushy, without a trace of retreat.
Gradually, Sheng Tang finally became nervous.
