In the forest, the stupid bear cowered behind Qin Fu, trying to show off its courage.
Qin Fu looked at the enormous python standing upright in front of him, then glanced at the bear hiding behind him and shook his head.
"I'm really impressed. Where did Gu Gu even find this thing? If you stay with this bear for too long, I hope it's not contagious."
He sighed and pushed aside his chaotic thoughts. "Forget it, let's deal with it first."
Raising the [Secret Scepter], Qin Fu launched into battle with the giant python. Fortunately, its strength was average, and he could manage it without much effort. There was not even a hint from Paradise this time.
Since entering this world, his battles had been relentless—first Mei Daxia, then the White Fox, the Flying Dragon Savage. Each fight consumed his brain and mana to the point of PTSD.
Once the python lay disemboweled, Qin Fu called the stupid bear over. The bear had no complaints, after all, the python had been raiding it daily. Now that it was dead, it was the bear's feast.
Returning to the cave with the bear, Gu Gu had already recovered and leapt about energetically. The stupid bear, seeing Gu Gu, panicked and scrambled up the tree at a speed that did not match its size.
Qin Fu could not help twitching the corners of his mouth as he watched the bear perched awkwardly among the branches. He turned to Gu Gu.
"Gu Gu, what did you do to him?"
"Scared him, naturally," Gu Gu replied with a smug look.
The little demon owl shot toward the bear in the tree, sweeping it with disdain. Qin Fu could only smile helplessly. He raised his voice to the treetop.
"All right, big stupid bear! Come down! With me here, Gu Gu won't touch you. Hurry and come down so we can grill this snake."
The bear glanced cautiously at Gu Gu, whose eyes widened in warning. Finally, the bear slid down the tree and, balancing the python on its massive back, showed a little courtesy to Gu Gu.
Qin Fu smiled and retrieved the wild survival kit he had purchased for twenty Paradise Coins. He started a fire and began grilling the python meat.
After a while, Qin Fu, Gu Gu, and the stupid bear were all munching on the python meat, the oiliness filling their mouths. The meat was surprisingly delicious, though Qin Fu still had no idea about the snake's gall.
While eating, Qin Fu's thoughts drifted, and he suddenly swallowed with a frown before calling to Gu Gu.
"Gu Gu, how is your recovery going?"
Gu Gu raised his head mid-bite and let out a loud, enthusiastic shriek.
Qin Fu narrowed his eyes slightly and tossed some branches into the fire. His tone was cold as he said, "Let's go. If we don't take that cub down today, I'll count it as unfinished business."
At the words, Gu Gu flapped his wings fiercely, ready for action. The stupid bear looked on with a blank expression, completely unable to understand the excitement of this human and his little demon owl companion.
Even so, the bear joined in the commotion, roaring alongside Gu Gu. The combined shriek and roar nearly deafened Qin Fu, and Gu Gu boldly flapped over the bear's head, asserting dominance in the most dramatic fashion.
After a while of scuffles, the big stupid bear curled into a ball like an angry little daughter-in-law. Its face was scratched all over, a testament to the chaos that had just unfolded.
Qin Fu looked at the bear with a mix of amusement and mild exasperation.
"All right, what are we going to do about you?" he said, shaking his head. "But I guess fate has decided for you. I'll help you."
He pushed the power of the void into the bear's body, tracing the pattern of the void circuit with precise movements. Soon, the bear drifted off to sleep, its attributes beginning to stabilize at extreme levels. Qin Fu smiled faintly, a corner of his mouth twitching.
"Let's go, Gu Gu. Time to find someone to settle the score."
What Qin Fu did not realize was that his unintentional intervention would later affect countless Paradise Contractors. Once the bear fully adapted to the void power, all its attributes reached the pinnacle of the world, particularly its speed. Any contractor who tried to challenge it afterward would meet a miserable fate.
Sitting astride Gu Gu, Qin Fu scanned the surroundings for traces of the savage. After nearly two hours of flying, he finally spotted the body of the flying dragon. The valley's flames had long since died out, leaving the dark rocks to gleam under the moonlight.
He instructed Gu Gu to descend, gently patting the [Guide Worm] at his waist. Under the night sky, the green light of the insect streaked across the air, pointing straight into the mountains.
After confirming the direction, Qin Fu did not rush to pursue the savage immediately. First, he retrieved the treasure chest from the flying dragon. Luck was on his side; despite the passage of time, the chest was still intact.
Then he began to dismember the dragon. Every material on its body was valuable. The dragon blood alone could be taken to Su Xiao to refine into powerful potions. Qin Fu glanced at the information and could not hide his joy.

This could not be taken directly, and Qin Fu had no plans to experiment with his own blood just yet. He considered it a form of harmless persistence.
Once he finished dismembering the flying dragon, the guide insects returned. Qin Fu activated the [Secret Scepter] and followed the insects' guidance toward the top of the mountain. Gu Gu hovered above, like a deadly god of death watching silently in the night sky, ever ready to deploy "Food Dream" at a moment's notice.
Following the path indicated by the [Guide Worm] for an unknown duration, Qin Fu finally reached a cave. He patted the [Guide Worm] bottle, and the green light returned to his waist.
Raising the [Secret Scepter], silver-gray void power gathered before him. As the opposing spheres of energy merged, the surrounding area quivered under the spreading force. From deep within the cave came faint sounds.
A small smile curved Qin Fu's lips. He released the void power instantly. The energy wave surged outward, shaking the mountain violently.
"The Power of the Void, Fu!"
To prevent the cub from fleeing, Qin Fu set up a circle of 'Void Missiles' at the cave entrance. Any creature trying to escape would trigger dozens of energy bursts, enough to deal devastating damage.
Above, Gu Gu hovered on high alert, ready to control the enemy with "Food Dream" at any moment.
