"Are you playing Halloween now?" Lilith scoffed, her voice a blade trying to slice through the sudden tension in the room. She smirked, brittle and desperate, as if mockery could protect her from the truth unfolding in front of her. "What is this, some kind of cosplay? Trying to impress us with your little soldier outfit?"
Her words floated there, thin and trembling.
Dafa didn't flinch. He simply stood there, calm and steady, the weight of his uniform making Lilith's bravado look cheap.
