Within seconds, the room was flooded with doctors and nurses, all rushing to the Minister's bedside. The air was thick with tension and urgency as they began their assessment, their movements precise and efficient.
Dr. Evans arrived a moment later, his face etched with concern. He pushed his way through the crowd and knelt beside the Minister, his eyes scanning the monitors.
"What's happening?" he asked, his voice sharp. "What did you see?"
"He squeezed my hand," I said, my voice still trembling. "He's showing signs of responsiveness."
Dr. Evans's eyes widened in disbelief. He reached out and took the Minister's hand, his fingers probing for a response.
"Mr. Minister," he said, his voice loud and clear. "Can you hear me? Squeeze my hand if you can hear me."
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, slowly, hesitantly, the Minister's fingers twitched again, and this time, there was no doubt about it. He was squeezing Dr. Evans's hand.
