Noel PoV
I sighed as I stared at the blue sky. The clouds were fluffy and white, drifting lazily above me. I was in the backyard of the garden, on a chair under the shade of a tree. It was a nice day. The sun was warm, the air was fresh, the birds were singing.
But I was bored.
I was still recovering from my battle with Zayn. It had been days, yet my body still ached. I couldn't move much. I couldn't train. I couldn't even go to the village without a caretaker. It was frustrating. I felt useless. A burden.
If only Vadim was here. But he said he was going with Amelia and the little ones to see her castle in the capital. Hope they were having fun.
"Noel! You got a visitor," Ma called out from the house.
I turned and gasped. Standing next to my Ma was Eumhun. She was wearing a blue robe with silver embroidery, her hair tied in a loose bun. She looked more beautiful than ever.
"Eumhun!" I exclaimed, trying to get up. But a wave of pain washed over me and I slumped back.
