Leonardo PoV
I smiled as I saw Yukihina grab a banana off the table. She must've been really hungry.
Vadim smiled as he stopped his sweeping. "Good thing I made some extra food." He glanced at the oven. Bread was rising in it. "That'll be done in a few minutes. My son loves it, but he hates waiting." He chuckled. "Just like I did at his age."
"Surprised to see the king cooking," I said.
He shrugged. "It's a hobby of mine. I learned from my mama. The kids enjoy it."
Yukihina looked up from the banana and said, "You seem like a good father."
He beamed. "Thanks. They're my pride and joy. I'd do anything for them."
I smiled. He really was a good man. He had a gentle aura around him, one that could calm anyone. But like Yukihina, this war had made him take up the sword and stain his hands.
Vadim looked at me with a curious expression. "How was the trip to Seorabit?"
