[Months later]
I blushed as I wore a montsuki hakama
"Wow Kazuo, you look very handsome," Amelia said, adjusting my collar.
"You really think so?"
"Yes. Lady Amaya is a lucky woman to be marrying you," she said, giggling.
I smiled slightly. Hopefully, Amaya would think so too. Wonder what she was wearing.
"Come on, it's time to meet her at the church," Vadim said from outside my room. "Can't keep the bride waiting."
I took a deep breath and nodded. The Queen and her king consort escorted me outside. A carriage would take us to the Cathedral of Origin, the same place where the Dog Pillar was likely to emerge from.
"Thanks for all the help," I muttered.
"You're like a little brother to me. I wouldn't miss your big day for anything," Amelia said, patting my shoulder. "Even if your wedding is a bit rushed."
I looked down at the white pavement of the courtyard. "The situation leaves little choice."
