Reginald removed his hand from his eyes and smirked as he noticed Vadim and the rest of us. "Hmm? You're back? I was sure that Bulgae killing you would've knocked that tedious power of yours off of the board." He eyed Kira and Eizan. "And you two still live too? A bunch of roaches."
I scoffed. "Says the man who can regenerate with ease," I said, my fingers digging into the hilt of my weapon as the lingering sting in my chest flared. Every breath tasted of iron and scorched earth, a grim reminder of how close Bulgae's fangs had come to ending me entirely. "If anyone here refuses to stay in the dirt, it's you."
Vadim stepped up beside me, the corner of his mouth twitching into that trademark, reckless grin of his. "Guess you aren't all knowing, huh?"
Reginald blinked. "So you reverted to your carefree self. Haha! Don't forget that your children are still dead."
