Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 113 - New Mastery Unlocked
Hiroto looked at Apollo, finally he said ,"I think you're ready to go back to combat training." Apollo shifted his head to look at Hiroto ,"Really!" ,"Really, I believe you've recovered as much as you can right now." Hiroto nodded his head ,"Let's see that sword of yours, I wanted to check something," ,"All right." Apollo summoned Akarui, its power that it radiated was different from before, as if the very composition of its particles changed. Hiroto smiled ,"I can't believe, I mean I can, but you've actually done it," Apollo was astonished ,"What?" ,"You have unlocked your first layer of unification." Apollo raised his eyebrows ,"And what's that? Why so much secrecy, just tell me." Hiroto chucked ,"OK fine, unification is the process of your soul becoming connected to your physical body, the more interconnected they are the more dense your power becomes. You also become more tied to the power you have in your soul, making every attack of yours that much more powerful and your adaptation to phenomenon that much faster. For every person, these stages are different and can spawn different powers based on how we live our lives. Although you could replicate the power via Arts, you get a massive decrease in how much you use, making whatever you have insanely more powerful and convenient than what an ordinary person can do with just the Art itself." Hiroto then looked at the tsuba ,"Even your sword changed shape due to its evolution. Look at that extra point on the handle." The once circle now had one point that jutted out, pointing in front of the blade.
Apollo, although getting all of what Hiroto said, was taken aback. He looked at his sword and felt the deeper connection he had with it, it even felt more like him. Hiroto then asked Apollo ,"Do you know what this power might be?" Apollo went through his memory of fighting Disdain ,"You know, now that I think about it when we were fighting Disdain I noticed how everyone's power became mine, almost as if I absorbed not only their ki but the arts they fused to the ki itself." Hiroto exclaimed ,"Interesting, so like a version of Absorption but with the added benefit of Control(An ability to control others arts by overriding it with your own ki)." Hiroto smirked ,"I think it's time we refine this ability, don't you think?" Apollo stood straight ,"Yes sir!" Hiroto exhaled ,"Please don't do that, I'm your grandpa, not a commanding officer," Apollo laughed ,"HAHA Alright!"
…TINK TINK TINK SHAKOO ,"C'MON APOLLO, SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT." Hiroto was currently hitting Apollo with what seemed like every single art out there but Apollo was still having a hard time activating it consistently. Apollo had absorbed these different types of Arts a few times but that was all. TINK TITITITITINK Hiroto was clashing with Lightning, Flame, Water, Ice, Wind and Earth Arts, trying his best to have Apollo figure out the trigger. (Wait, this is kinda like royal guard!) Apollo thought, he felt the energy, grasping at its power, not separating it from the modifier of the Art. He combined it with his sword, and sent it back at Hiroto KABOOM. Hiroto calmed down ,"There we go. You understand the trigger now?" ,"Yup, it seems that I just need to think of it as adding effects to my sword and that seems to do the trick." Apollo was happy, he had finally unlocked this new power and had a grasp on how to use it, he was ecstatic. Apollo then thought ,"Wait, couldn't you have just used Information Translation?" Hiroto smirked ,"Yeah, but you needed the extra training." Apollo thought about it for a second after then nodding his head ,"You're probably right."
Hiroto walked over to Apollo, hugging him ,"I'm very proud of you, there's not many people that will ever know what it is to feel like to be you. Even if you lean on me a little bit, that's alright, we all need a crutch once in a while." Apollo stared blankly off as he started crying. His silent tears were followed by ,"Thank you." Apollo let go and smiled after a few minutes ,"That's enough of being a bitch. Let's get back to training." Of course, he said all this while still crying.
