"Ashton Heath, are you still mad at me?" Joanna Lawrence leaned in closer, her nose grazing his, her voice even softer than before as she cooed, "Can you stop being angry? I admit that at first, I didn't plan to tell you about the investigation into Annie Lawrence. That's because I thought it was a trivial matter that I could solve myself, and didn't want you to worry about me."
"If it was something I couldn't solve, I would definitely ask for your help. I just think that asking for your help over a trivial matter is a waste of your skills. If you don't mind, I'll discuss everything with you first from now on, okay?"
"Can you stop being mad? I'll buy you dinner tonight to make up for it. Or, how about I cook for you?"
As Joanna finished speaking, the man's face softened considerably.
