Whitey Bay, the infamous pirate captain of the New World, was on her imposing ship, the Icebreaker, navigating through turbulent waters. Her blue hair billowed in the wind as she looked at the horizon with determination. She knew she had to act quickly to avoid a tragedy. She had obtained information about Marshall D. Teach—or as he now calls himself, Blackbeard—through Evan's diary, not only about his plans but also about his mysterious Devil Fruit.

It turns out that since he joined the crew so many years ago, he did so with the sole objective of finding a specific Devil Fruit, and now that he has found it, he will begin to implement his plans.

Whitebeard's POV

I looked at the horizon from the ship's deck, my gaze lost in the vast sea while reflecting on recent events. My thoughts wandered between two prominent figures: Blackbeard and Ace. Blackbeard, the man I once considered a son, had now become a traitor because of a Devil Fruit. I wondered what had led Teach down that dark path and what his goal truly was.

On the other hand, Ace, my beloved commander and son of Gol D. Roger, was on a personal mission to hunt down Blackbeard and avenge the death of his brother Thatch. Although I understood Ace's feelings, I couldn't help but have a bad feeling about the situation. The insistent tone of the Den Den Mushi on my desk interrupted my thoughts. I picked up the receiver, wondering who could be calling with such urgency.

"Hello?" I asked with my deep and resonant voice.

Whitey Bay's voice came from the other end, urgency interlacing her tone. "Pops, I need to talk to you about something urgent!"

The seriousness in Whitey Bay's voice alerted me immediately. "What's wrong, Whitey? You sound worried," I responded, shifting my posture to one of total attention.

"I discovered something about Blackbeard that you need to know, but first connect the White one; it's something of extreme importance," continued Whitey Bay. Quickly, I took the White Den Den Mushi and connected it to the main one to continue the conversation. "Now, Whitey, explain to me what you discovered about Teach," I asked in a serious tone, as what she said could define many things.

"Pops, Teach joined the crew so many years ago because he was looking for a specific Devil Fruit and believed that in the crew of a powerful pirate, he might have a better chance," said Whitey Bay with a serious tone, continuing without interruption. "The Devil Fruit is the Yami Yami no Mi, a Logia-type fruit that allows the user to create, manipulate, and turn into darkness. It is unique among Logias for the abilities it grants."

"It allows you to absorb attacks and physical matter, and you can also use it to attract your opponents, as the darkness gives it a unique property of gravity. There is also its most dangerous capacity: to completely nullify the powers of other Devil Fruits. Logia users are more affected because they cannot elementalize."

"Most likely, he plans to use Ace as a bargaining chip to become a Shichibukai and thus start a war between the Marines and our Whitebeard Pirates. Pops, it's best to make Ace return since we don't know the extent of Teach's powers and who knows if he's already formed a crew."

"If it was just Teach, Ace could escape, but if there are more people, then it is very unlikely that he will make it. There are also some rumors that I heard by chance from some pirates in Red-Haired Shanks' fleet, saying that Teach was the one who gave him that scar," Whitey Bay finished.

Whitey Bay's words kept echoing in my mind as I considered the seriousness of the situation. "I understand," I finally responded. "Okay, Whitey, I'll call Ace as soon as possible. If what you say is true, then Ace is chasing someone at the level of a Yonko. So, Whitey, set sail heading to Sphinx. We will meet there—not only the main crew but also the fleet crews," I said with a serious tone, as this topic involved all the Whitebeard Pirates.

"Okay, Pops, see you," Whitey Bay said before saying goodbye. I quickly hung up the Den Den Mushi and prepared to coordinate the crew's response. I knew it was time for an Emergency Meeting. I quickly called Marco, who was nearby, and told him, "Marco, this is an order as captain. All the captains of the fleet sail towards Sphinx. We will, too. We will have an emergency meeting."

"Right, Pops! I will notify the captains of the other divisions first and then I will notify the captains of the fleet," Marco said before quickly taking off in the direction of the announcement room.

POV END.

In any case, Ace's surveillance finally came to light. I could see that his eyes were full of caution now; if in the future he faces someone, he will learn to be cautious and gather as much information as he can about his enemy.

"I feel very relieved that Luffy has such a group of reliable partners, especially you, Evan; you remind me a lot of Marco," Ace said, putting his thoughts away. He didn't say anything else; he picked up the meat and began to eat happily again. Blackbeard is a dangerous guy, but it's useless for him to worry so much now. Too bad he doesn't know he won't even have to face him since Evan intervened.

"Marco the Phoenix? His positioning is similar to that of the deputy captain," Evan said as he stretched, relaxing his whole demeanor. Of course, he wouldn't suddenly say anything; he should go and benchmark with Whitebeard or something. You know, this guy's life credo, of course, is to "touch the fish" (slack off) and enjoy watching the girls. He can be the strongest, but he won't do things that are too troublesome and tiring. Helping Luffy become the Pirate King—that's enough.

While the group analyzed things for Ace, the other side did not stop. Luffy pulled Chopper to ask questions, excited about his new partner. Although he started with the "emergency food" joke, he seemed very mild now.

"What, you're a doctor? That's so powerful, I can't see it at all!" Luffy said with a look of surprise.

"Even if you say so, I won't be happy, you bastard!" Chopper said with an embarrassed, cute expression.

"Anyway, the staffing on board is finally complete," Sanji lit a cigarette. Although he didn't look very reliable, Chopper seemed normal—just lacking some maturity and common sense. Sanji was mostly fed up with Luffy trying to raid the locked refrigerator every night.

"Unexpectedly, even a tanuki can be a doctor," Zoro said disrespectfully, looking a bit confused from the alcohol.

"What a tanuki? Zoro, he's a long-horned reindeer, okay!" Evan joined in to complain.

"Is he? Sorry, I read it wrong," Zoro said, reaching out to rub Chopper's fur.

"If he and Luffy fall into the water, which one should I fish out first?" Usopp showed a distressed expression.

[Evan's Diary]

Before Jinbei boarded the ship, most of the Straw Hat crew's salvage work was handled by Usopp. Luffy always does something stupid and falls into the water. Being a "dry duck" is a lot of work, and Usopp is very tired.

Although most Straw Hats are talented, they are also troublemakers. But I don't dislike them; they're all friends. It's natural to help each other.

Fishman Island

At this moment, at Fishman Island, the large but timid mermaid princess was shivering. She was effectively imprisoned, targeted by a scumbag who used his abilities to throw things at her daily. The girl named Shirahoshi spent her day in fear.

Recently, a "ghost" had appeared in her room: a diary that updated daily. Out of curiosity, she began to read it, and it opened a door to a new world.

"The outside world is wonderful," Shirahoshi smiled, looking through the pages. "Mr. Evan... you even call me 'wife'? I have never considered marriage. Besides, Mr. Jinbei would join them?"

Shirahoshi knew of Jinbei; he was a hero of Fishman Island and close to the Whitebeard Pirates who sheltered them. She looked at the diary and learned more about the Straw Hats. "What an interesting group of people, especially Mr. Evan. Well, he is so careful."

She had no shortage of suitors, but she was currently living in fear. Evan seemed special to her. "I kind of want to see him, but I can only stay here." She had received some minimal rewards from the diary system and felt she was getting stronger, but she still couldn't leave.

"I wonder if Mr. Evan can help me knock that scoundrel off if he comes to Fishman Island?" She continued to flip through the pages. This diary was the only thing bringing comfort to her dark life. She hoped that Evan would be like the knight in a novel, coming to save the princess.
