"You're leaving?" Adrian Desmond frowned.
"I want to go home, and I've been away with my family for so long. There are so many things to deal with at the company..."
She made a few excuses, though they were also true. She couldn't stay away from such a large company for too long.
"Is it because I shot you?"
"No..."
Holding Sienna in his arms, Adrian Desmond rubbed his face gently against her hair. He said softly, "Sienna, do you think you'll be safe if you go back to Sileria City?"
"At least safer than here!"
"Night Owl knows of your existence; he won't let you go. I've known him for many years. The way he looked at you was like a hunter eyeing prey he's determined to capture. You are now his prey, and he won't let you go," he sighed.
Sienna Johnson said, "Didn't you prove to him today that I'm not important? I'm just an insignificant woman by your side. As long as I go back to Sileria City, he won't bother me anymore."
