Sienna Johnson glanced at Adrian Desmond but didn't respond.
She looked at the children on the playground, coddled and cherished by their parents, and couldn't help but think of her own childhood.
The misery brought on by a fractured childhood is a wound that can never heal. Therefore, Adrian could never understand why she so desperately wanted to have children.
She wanted to have several children connected to her through blood to prove that she's not alone in the world.
"Mom, it's our turn to go on stage to receive the award." Curly shook her mom's arm and said excitedly.
Sienna's thoughts were interrupted. She withdrew her gaze and looked at her daughter.
Her daughter's smile was radiant, with no shadows in her eyes. Sienna thought: Fortunately, all the things she didn't have, her daughter got.
"What are you thinking about again?" Adrian noticed something was wrong with her and stared at her, asking.
