"You can leave now." Night Owl said to Victoria Logan.
When Night Owl spoke to Victoria, he was looking at Sienna Johnson, who was muttering in her sleep, appearing exceptionally pitiful.
Victoria didn't leave; she also looked at Sienna and said, "I've realized that I was quite annoying before."
Night Owl had no desire to converse and was applying a cold compress to Sienna. He regretted in silence; if only he'd known she was so fragile, he wouldn't have punished her.
This was the first time he had seen Sienna so vulnerable.
Victoria continued to speak on her own, "Clearly you don't like me, yet I kept pestering you. Love is something that must be mutual..."
"What do you mean?" Night Owl heard something amiss in Victoria's words.
Victoria said, "When one is sick, they're at their most vulnerable; she's been calling Adrian Desmond's name in her dreams, so deep down Adrian must be the most important person to her."
