Chapter 22 - Part 2: Strike

The next part is done and will be live shortly after some reviewing and fixing of plot holes.

Enjoy the chapter.

Panning out, we can see Andromeda in her ship form, together with the rest of the ZZZ ships, light up their engines as they charged forward until a blue cone lit up from their engines, pushing them to warp speed. Each ship disappeared in a golden halo as they warped to their predetermined positions.

On the Gatalantis side, most ships in the rear middle rotated upward, expecting an attack from the top, but that was a lie, as multiple positron rounds smacked into the rear of ships, gutting apart the enemy forces since they were basically caught with their pants down.

The rear weapons on some ships tried to engage but this fleet was built for speed and agility in mind thus they easily dodged the incoming beams with a few unlucky ones being caught in a crossfire and struck destroying them while others barely survived.

Meanwhile, Andromeda was grinning all the way as she led the charge, evading beams and delivering her own strike aimed at the Apocalix carriers which was like a sponge soaking up hits but not sinking. Most of the enemy forces were now turning around so that their frontal weapons can get a firing solution only for them to receive shots from the very top they were defending from.

In short, the rear Gatalantis forces were basically sandwiched and turned into swiss cheese by positron rounds and missile spams.

After the hit, the ZZZ ships ran away as more reinforcements warped in, making staying a costly option since each ship destroyed was a heavy blow.

But even as the 2 attacking fleets retreated to opposite ends a sizable number of Gatalantis ships chased after them only for multiple blue glows to fill the darkness as loitering Andromedas ramped up their WMG and shot decimating the pursuing forces with a scatter shot and giving the rest of the fleet a chance to escape with them in tow.

Back to the front lines, we could see that they were in a form of standoff with neither side wanting to close the distance. However, on the EDF side, we can see multiple Asuka class support ships position themselves behind a chunk of EDF ships as some side panels opened up.

The Asuka class in this world is basically built around a copy of the Cosmo Reverse, or at least the amplifier part on the bow, which could also act as a shield projector, and in this world, they all had a new feature installed from the Gamilas-Human technology exchange.

Some dreadnoughts and E-class could be seen rotating their guns to an odd angle even if their enemies were directly in front of them.

"Warp" Amaterasu's order rang through the fleet comms.

From those side panels, a flash of light could be seen before a chunk of ships disappeared from view, only for them to reappear at a predetermined location.

The first to arrive were those dreadnoughts with their barrels rotated that appeared to the right and left flanks of the frontline, their Analyser units each took command of the main guns as their ship girl persona were getting over the queasy feeling from being transported by the upscaled Matter Transport System (MTS)

These first salvos decimated the enemy ships as the dreadnoughts did most of the heavy lifting, with some Andromeda's sprinkled in the formation. Their engines turned on as they slightly rotated to bring their rear guns to bear thus maximise the amount of firepower being laid down and thus distract the enemy from their main forces warping in now.

In the centre, a burst of light appeared as the main force warped out and at the tip of it was Blue Noah, her 8 forward-facing guns letting out their first salvos and resulting in chained kills as her positron rounds ate into the Calaklum and continued forward without even needing to converge.

After Blue Noah, the rest of the centre forces sent their salvos, decimating the front lines of the enemy, and tailing them were squadrons of Tiger 2's carrying their max payload of weapons as they joined in on the action.

Blue Noah then proceeded to open up her wings and release her full complement of cosmo pulsars which was even more than what the Hybrid carriers could launch, 36 each. These fighters joined the Tiger 2 and the odd Cosmo Python as they evaded enemy fire to directly hit the middle section.

While the front lines were getting slaughtered, Andromeda and her fleets were racing back in to finish the job, only for Andromeda to notice weird portals forming even further back from where the fight was.

Her eyes focused on them as her ship went on full auto mode. From those portals multiple Apocalix class carriers emerged together with another batch of Calaklum and Gostoke missile class battleships from other portals they were just spewing out Eaters that quickly vectored in on their general direction.

All of this was being sent directly to Amaterasu who quickly sent the fighters to deal with Eaters and other aircraft being launched by the carriers. Together the BBB (Black Berserk Battalion) Andromedas that were lying in wait were finally sent to prevent the enemy from building up a sizable fleet.

Andromeda wanted to join too, but as soon as her ship disengaged from the fight, her sensors screamed at her of an incoming danger.

Andromeda didn't know what was coming but her instincts kicked in changing her ship into rigging as her body quickly banked hard to the left to avoid a highly powered laser that sailed past her and into an unlucky ZZZ ship blowing it apart.

Her heart rate was through the roof, and so was her anger as her eyes scanned for whoever did it, only for her to lock eyes with something that looked humanoid. Her eyes did a scan as she looked at a humanoid with black skin and red eyes.

Her confusion made her even though at this point there should have been a rule, 'if it's not your ally, kill it'.

Whatever she was looking at disappeared from her view, sending her into shock as her eyes looked around everywhere, only for her sensors to pick up a warp out behind her.

She barely had enough time to spin around as one of her swords formed in her hand. The Black blade caught a kick that had the power to send her flying a good distance. Once her RCS stabilised her, her sensors once again picked warp out signatures all around her as multiple of whatever attacked her appeared from a portal strangely similar to the one Gatalantis uses.

Her Main guns rotated around, covering all four of her vectors, as a nervous smile was plastered on her face.

"Alright, let's dance." She said as her sword was covered in a blue glow.

Admiral Mason, Command Ship

The Admiral had seen a lot of crazy things in his time, but in the past 10 minutes, each and every one of his expectations was blown away.

He first thought that their recon force was cooked, but luckily Yamato managed to get there in time and save the ships that she could, and in the end, something was going to happen as all their sensors began spasming out as Yamato was preparing something only for it to abruptly shut down as explosions rocked the alien forces.

Then 5 huge ships came out of some suspicious portals, making even battleships wary of them just from their sheer size, some moments afterwards, sensors started going crazy again as hundreds of ships warped out into the area and formed an orderly formation.

The admiral could barely get his own ships to form up without baiting them with a reward, but the new faction was doing it so easily right in front of them, and their numbers could put whatever they had to shame 2 times over. Not to mention, there were some deadly ships that were in a darker colour scheme, which just seemed like their designer wanted to retrofit the light blue ships to be as deadly as possible.

While almost all the Azur Lane ships were gazing at the sight before them, an angry blonde was making her way to the admiral. She made her presence known by slamming her hands on his table, frightening him as he looked into the eyes of a very pissed off Iowa with her sisters in tow.

Each one of them had just returned after being able to reach the safety of their friends, and they were pissed that they had been dealt a heavy blow without being able to retaliate as much.

Mason sighed since he understood where they came from, the destroyers and cruisers caught up in the first attack had to be rushed to dry dock for repairs, while other kansens had to go get emergency medical attention.

"Look my hands are tied. We've tried to request support but they've denied," The admiral went silent as the EDF began their attack, the darkness of space lighting with tens of brilliant explosions, "This situation has already spiralled into something that's out of our control, if we try to get involved we might only just hamper them so please, don't interfere with what's currently happening."

The admiral knew the stakes in this fight, and if someone else could clean up the mess that exploded beyond their imagination, then he'd gladly take a back seat and watch the fight unfold.

He thought this while his eyes were glued to the fight going on, whenever a WMG was fired, the kansens would be in awe as they watched it scatter into hundreds of tiny beams.

Similarly, the internet was keeping a close eye on what's going on with civilian, military and even private satellites in that region, all facing towards the ongoing battle that was happening, gathering precious data while providing a live video feed of the ongoing battle.

So far, the public was already head over heels for the new ships, with the majority falling for Blue Noah and her unrivalled firepower, while others liked the E-class for its small size and somewhat cute look, even though that cute ship can bring down capital ships all on its own. Next, there was also a large fanbase for the Andromeda ships and her variants, but most people rooted for the ZZZ variant and its charges and the fact that it looked the most badass ship there, excluding Blue Noah.

But followers of a certain ship were in confusion on where she was, with confirmation of her sistership confirmed, but the other one seemed to disappear into thin air.

POV: Andromeda

'Slash, slash, dodge! Targets .. Open fire!'

These were the thoughts of the battleship as she used her firepower and agility to the max.

Her lungs burned as she struggled to exhale, the sword in her hand glowed with a dim blue hue. She had finally discovered who was attacking her and it was just looking at her.

Her sensors flared as she caught one of them raise their hand as small red bits dislodged from a bracelet before rotating around their wrist.

Andromeda cursed as she brought her shield to full strength before a lightning storm surged towards her, a hail of green lasers pelting her shields. She increased the output of her main engine, escaping the area of that strike.

She exhaled, focusing on the Calaklum kansens in front of her, the rocket motors on her shoulder were brought to life as she surged forward. Her Ai taking over firing as it independently acquired targets and fired the main guns and missiles. A wave of death followed her as any ship or enemy kansen in the line of her targeting systems was gutted apart.

The Calaklum she was focusing on tried to fire its main guns, but it was useless as she evaded the shots before plunging her sword into the kansens's midsection and cutting it in half. An explosion rocked the body, but Andromeda didn't look at it as she focused on the new wave of enemies approaching her.

It seemed that for every ship she kills 2 more took their place, and this was starting to affect her as dull aches of pain were spreading across her system. Her rigging also wasn't looking the best, but all her weapons were still online so a scratch on her paint was fine.

Andromeda steeled herself for another long battle only for her radar to detect missiles heading to her location from behind her. She braced herself since she wasn't expecting this since all her systems were focused in front of her. She pondered if the main force failed but she doubted that since she saw Blue Noah and the central force warp to bolster the BBB's that were straining from the surge of enemy forces, so who..

She didn't get time to find that out as the missiles closed in .. And harmlessly passed over her. They plunged directly into the enemy forces and set of brilliant dark blue explosions. Andromeda was in shock since those missiles packed more of a punch than what even she was using.

It was at this point that she was getting more questions than answers as her radar again picked up 2 objects heading in her direction followed by a hail from an unknown destroyer.

"UNSF cruiser Kitakami, "Oicchi," "to the rescue."

These names strangely felt familiar to Andromeda as she watched 2 kansens rush past her, one with black hair and another with brown hair. She was so confused she had almost forgotten Amaterasu's order, and when she tried to stop them, it was too late as they rushed into the enemy forces.

'Dammit I won't make it in time'

Her engines were pushed to the max as she tried to save them only for shock to be plastered on her face again as watched the 2 destroyers rip through the Gatalantis forces. Their phoenix guns doing most of the heavy lifting as they spat out a continuous hail of positron rounds. Facing enemies with no shield was like heaven for them as each cruiser used the least amount of missiles possible to turn the enemies to molten hulls in the dead of space.

If it wasn't for her AI shocking some sense into her she would have continued to be in shock.

"Well, it looks like I've found a pair of demons", Andromeda muttered to herself as she closed the distance to the 2.

Upon closer inspection she realised that the energy they produced was similar to theirs which raised an eyebrow only for her to remember how kind Yamato was.

"Kitakami, Oicchi my name's Andromeda lead ship of my class ZZZ-01" Andromeda said greeting the 2 as a plan formed in her head, "So, would you guys like to help me break through this wall"

Andromeda pointed forward at the reinforcements that arrived to stall her in that area. The 2 cruisers agreed but wondered how, since they didn't have missile ammo to give her a suppression needed to escape.

Andromeda smiled as she put both her hands on the 2 cruisers heads. On the cruisers' side, their AI received instructions from Andromeda's AI that were bold if it could be described that way. An Approval was requested and both cruisers agreed only to feel some link form between them and Andromeda as the TAG (Tug Around Galaxy)system was engaged

Confusion filled their mind as sparks of blue energy ripped across Andromeda's form. This was followed by a power surge from the cruisers as their cores were mixed with true wave motion energy filling them with a strength never before felt.

"Get ready", Andromeda said as her main engines and booster engines came online. This was in tandem with the destroyers as their engines ramped up to match Andromeda's. In an instant, when they were ready, all 3 of them shot forward as the link between the 3 held firm.

Targetting data from Andromeda's AI poured to the 2 destroyers as all 3 AI's shared data super quickly thus giving each other targets that weren't overlapped. Andromeda spun in a barrel roll as their weapons went off unrestricted and the odd cosmic tipped missile sent to clear a path when it was too clustered.

Andromeda pulled off manoeuvres which, if she had a a crew would have made them pass out from the amount of G's. The 2 destroyers were too focused on their task as they each gave Andromeda a run for her money for how many kills they could get.

Soon multiple Eaters were tracked racing to her in a frontal assault. Andromeda smiled as she turned off her engine before turning broadside and scaring Kitakami, who fired all of her turrets that had an angle at the incoming eaters which were decimated from the hail of positron rounds.

Soon the trio were clear of the area and headed straight to where the main force was, the destroyers detaching from Andromeda as each was stunned from the shock overload, while each muttered in their thoughts.

'Never again!'

Earth

As all this happened in space on the planet's surface, militaries were still regrouping and preparing for any surprise attack and this proved wise as portals once again opened over major cities but this time the number of enemy forces wasn't that much and this was because the bulk of their forces was centred around one capital where faint unique energy readings were detected.

Tokyo - Japan

Tens of portals opened above the metropolitan area, causing the residents who had stayed above ground to suddenly regret not retreating to the shelter as the emerging forces opened fire indiscriminately on the city. Following some sirens, battleships and cruisers were an Apocalix class carrier and some 10 Calaklum battleships.

All this was being done to flush out one kansen that was taking refuge in the city.

POV: Yamato

Alarms in her head broke her from her meditation only for her to be confronted by sounds of explosions sending her into a state of frenzy as she quickly got up, her main engine spooling up even as structural errors popped up in her head she ignored it all as she took to the skies

Her sensors quickly registered the enemy forces in the immediate area. She tried to come up with a plan only for her radar to pick up a lock on signal as Deathvatators, Gatalantis fighters, locked onto her. The fighters in her hangar scrambled to intercept the incoming fighters, but they barely had time to launch any air-to-air missiles; thus, most of them had to go in with guns.

However, this did little to slow down the enemy as the Deathvatators acquired a solution before launching their missiles. Yamato grit her teeth as she engaged her engine once again while her surviving AA tried desperately to counter the incoming missiles. But her reputation struck again as she ate 3 missiles to her body sending her on a one way trip to the ground.

Her already battered body was struck again as all the emergency repairs done by her manjuus were being undone. Her consciousness faded in and out as her few bits of clarity prevented her from smacking into any buildings and landing head first into asphalt. A trench formed as the ground absorbed the momentum of a space battleship damaging her in the process and once she was at rest she was face planted into the ground her rigging battered even more than before.

The pain flowing through her body made it hard for her to think as she tried to lift herself off the ground, only for her muscles to reject that and cause her to drop once more. She tried opening her eyes, but her vision was tinted red due to an open wound on her forehead making her blood freely coat her face.

'Come on, you've been through worse, get up. Remember that time you were beached in The Comet or when you tried to raid the Ark. Get up, people need you, dammit.'

A surge of energy rushed out of her core as she barely managed to lift up her upper body. A faint smoke pillar rose up from her right rigging as a fire raged on, but she couldn't care less about that as the skies over here erupted into chaos as her fighter fought tooth and nail to protect her but all of that was in vain.

One by one, her own fighters were shot down by AA fire and sheer numbers overwhelming them, and now she was all alone, no allies for support, no air cover, no one to help her overcome this wall. Her lungs heaved for air as her glazed-over eyes looked at the area around her with a look.

"You can do it," a weak voice broke her from this trance causing her eyes to widen.

Her eyes locked with the gaze of a young boy. A million thoughts raced through her head as she tried to figure out why a kid like him would be out in an active warzone and not a shelter.

She didn't have the time nor the luxury to answer that question as her eyes located an incoming Calaklum heading for her position. Her urgency was further driven as she spotted 2 more devastators trailing it. She strained her engine one more time as her main engine came online, but it seemed like all that pushing came to bite back at her as a painful sting struck her heart, her Wave Motion Engine taking too much punishment and shutting down due to parts of it beginning to melt off from the strain it was under.

Her eyes were still locked on that kid, her sub engines lit giving her a boost as her legs burned with every lunge she took. Time seemed to crawl as the missiles from the enemy fighters sped right for them. She didn't have time to think as her vision tunnelled on this one kid, the fear on his face evident, but in his eyes she saw hope burn in them.

As soon as her finger grabbed a hold of the boy's hand, she immediately yanked him into a tight embrace as she whispered that it was all gonna be fine her rigging would protect them, even if it was going to hurt so badly.

The missiles soon found their mark as they struck Yamato in the back launching her forward. The force from the blast sent her through 2 buildings before she finally came to a rest inside a residential house.

Luckily they had come to a rest with Yamato's back taking the brunt of the damage. Her head leaned back on the cold concrete, she wanted to pass out and call it quits so badly, but that would go against everything she believed in. She felt the boy stir in her arms and lowered her gaze to him.

She gave him a warm smile, even if her brain was drowning in pain, it was the least she could do as the boy faintly returned it, but when he noticed the blood on her clothes, he quickly said an apology.

Yamato just patted his head and said, " It's fine, in war there'll always be blood that's shed, but if it's to protect you, then it's worth it."

She didn't even know where she got the strength to stand up, but she did, gently putting the kid down in the process, "Next time whenever there is a war, you head for the nearest shelter. You got that."

The boy nodded his head as faint tears could be seen pooling in his eyes. He was scared, and even the mighty Yamato was scared as well, but there's nothing you can do if you're like that. It's normal to be scared, but someday you'll have to face that scary thing head-on. Do not waver, and until the very end, give it your all.

"Don't worry, we'll win this for sure", Yamato said as a parting gift as she walked out into the open.

Her legs felt dead, she wanted to just give up, but the weight of all the lives in this city and the entire earth weighed down on her shoulders.

She felt tired of everything, but at the same time, she couldn't forget that emotion behind the kid's eyes, hope.

A Calaklum crossed over a nearby skyscraper and immediately locked onto her.

The motors in her main guns hummed loudly as they struggled to raise the gun barrels to the correct position, If she was going to go she'd, at least go out fighting.

'load Type 3 shells'

The automatic loading systems brought up shells from her magazine and locked them into the gun barrels. At this point, it was now or never.

"All main guns, open fire!"

Ka-Boom

Her main guns roared in unison, sending out their shells downrange with pinpoint accuracy, impacting and exploding inside the great battleship, but the damage dealt was only moderate since the ship could easily shrug off one or two salvos from her guns.

At that point, she thought it really was over as she watched its main guns power up.

But fate had other plans for her,

"Muri, gi, me, be, an, zero"

A salvo of bright green rounds sailed over her and struck the Calaklum, shredding its armour and causing it to explode.

A shocked look took over Yamato's face as she watched the burning wreck of the Gatalantis ship crash into the ground and standing right behind her was the last person she thought she would see again.

Walking out from a red portal holding a golden gun in her hand was a ship we thought was destroyed but returned from the dead, golden hair swaying in the wind, piercing blur eyes and a blue skin.

"Desura", Yamato's voice was faint, but the Gamilas ship heard it loud and clear.

"Yamato," the Gamilan ship started but paused as she looked over the state of the formidable ship she knew, she was worried but if it's the Yamato she knew, she'd pull through, "you've fought well, just sit back and recover from this point Gamilas will take care of Earth."

A gust of wind blew past the street, blowing around Desura's waist-length blonde hair. Her dark blue eyes (Normally dark red) gazed at the burning city around her.

"Guess its time to crash this party"

As soon as she said that, multiple red portals appeared over every major city on earth that was an active warzone, Astro-class destroyers and cruisers warped out. Similarly, in space mutliple large red portals formed as Zoellgut class vessels emerged in bulk together with their complement of Astro class battleships, battlecruisers and heavy cruisers.

"At least she'll be able to get some good action" Desura smiled as she watched her Astro fleet mop up the Gatalantis and Siren forces.

Back to those Gamilans in space emerging together with the heavy armour, their own versions of the AAA ships emerged, led by L'Andromede, the lead ship of the L'Andromede class AAA Gamilon variant. 3 other sister ships emerged that were , Heidern, Dels Gardola and Zeylagion and following them were 4 other hybrid carriers emerged led by Neu Balgray and her sister ships, Neu Lamevea, Neu Schderg and Neu Darold.

These forces bolstered the straining EDF in the nick of time, providing crucial assistance when needed.

Desura had a faint smile on her face as the quick reports from her allies streamed in. But something felt odd, Yamato also felt it as the hair on her tail stood upright.

Desura looked around until her eyes locked with another humanoid target that was just plain white. Her massive rigging appeared around her, ready to dish out swift punishment.

'How did it evade my radar though?', Desura thought as her main guns lined up.

There was something very weird with the being in front of them, her radar didn't register it, almost as if there was nothing there in the first place. She tensed up as the being brought up her hand, revealing a glowing white orb that gave off a strange energy. At this point, Desura was ready to carve out a hole in the unknown figure, only for it to vanish from her view.

Desura was momentarily shocked as she swung her head wildly around, trying to figure out where they had gone, only for her to lock eyes with its cold stare as it reappeared in front of her, thrusting the white orb towards her.

The distance was too close for her to open fire, she had to resort to her Geshtam wall to block the attack. She was confident in her defences, that's why she was surprised to feel a force shove her out of the way only for her to see Yamato move in to block the attack, but her eyes were full of fear as she blocked the orb.

For Yamato, she was also confused about the mysterious figure, only for it to reveal a familiar orb that made a shiver run down her spine the familiar energy it gave off was something she wouldn't miss.

Her body moved on its own even as her mind was struggling to think of what to do, but above all, she cursed Arbiter as her body shoved Desura out of the way. She was out of options and the only thing she could do was a suicidal move.

'Emergency restart, activate core at criticality'

A surge of blue lightning poured from her core as all safety restrictions were tossed out the window and the core ramped up to full capacity, all to power up her shields to try and contain this Big Bang. Her sensors went haywire as the energy contained in the orb destabilised and threatened to be released.

Lucky Yamato was able to delay the explosion by forming a pseudo containment chamber with her shields as her hands pushed against the expanding orb, a brilliant blue energy clashing against the white energy.

Yamato looked at her surroundings and quickly realised what would happen if what she held went off, even for those underground, she feared that the blast might reach them and she didn't want that to happen. No matter the cost she would always protect those dear to her.

Her sub engines lit, sending her forward as her wings unfolded, giving her the crucial stability she needed. But her sub engines won't bring her up to speed fast enough to reach the ocean. Even if she reached the ocean, she didn't want to cause a tsunami that could endanger more lives.

Her main engine let out a whine as it spooled up, however, her engine wasn't so happy being strained even more as a sharp pain hit her nerves cause her to lose control, her consciousness fading but she pushed on, past the cloud of doubt covering her mind and grasped onto that fleeting hope she saw.

She pushed her engine past its limits breaching the limiters as its energy surged to over 200% and climbed even further. Her main engine let out a belch of fire, giving her the boost she needed as she climbed into the atmosphere, but not too high to create an electromagnetic wave that knocks out civilian infrastructure. Space and military craft were more or less hardened to survive such but she doubted their creators built them to survive the scale of what was in her hands.

The pain in her heart felt as if she was getting stabbed with every pulse it made, driving her to the edge of her sanity. She toyed with doing an emergency warp but the only problem was that she was already in a gravity well and warping would knock her exit off course.

She grit her teeth, the white energy was starting to leak from her shield as it was starting to buckle under the pressure. The palms of her hands were beginning to burn away as the raw energy from the orb surged from cracks in her shield.

Even as the pain she felt continuously increased, she continued forward, even as her heart was melting, she kept flying because someone needed to make the ultimate sacrifice.

From far away it looked like a small light source disappearing in the distance, but that light intensity steadily grew until it almost looked like a miniature sun. Then a flash of brilliant white light erupted, followed soon after by a large fireball expanding to immense proportions.

The explosive power in that explosion, was close to that of those planetary missiles from Gamilas. Soon after the explosion there was an eerie silence that followed. Those with sharp eyes could see the shockwave surging towards them but due to the large distance it was taking some time. When it did hit it struck with a force equal to a high intensity hurricane with winds over 500 km/h ripping of buildings that were damaged and giving the fighters from Gatalantis a nightmare.

Desura raised her forearm to protect her head from any stray debris even though her geshtam wall was still active. Those strong winds lasted for a full 4 minutes straight until they started to decline. She focused all her sensors in that direction, hoping to at least detect a trace of Ranhalt's ship, but in the end, it was all for nought. She was gone.

Her anger was shown as she looked at her defeated foe. The figure was quite durable since it tanked some of her salvos, but when it came to close quarters combat, it severely lacked in the strength department as she easily overpowered it.

Her focus shifted again into the sky where numerous small explosions lit it up. The more than 20 missiles under her wing were released as they hovered in front of her. There was a way she knew how to help her allies, and she'd use it to her fullest. Small bursts of light occurred as the missiles were transported to the front lines.

Hopefully, her small package can help them. A smile formed on her face she looked behind.

"Now," her sword was back in her hand, "let's continue where we left off."

Behind her were what looked to be clones of what she had fought earlier, but there were a few that were black and not white, and these piqued her interest due to the power she felt emanating from them.

Above them an Apocalix carrier loomed ahead with 4 Calaklums, its immense casting a shadow over the fight over 1km long.

As Neu Desura faced off against those clones and ships we finally see what happened to Yamato.

Streaking through the sky, the once mighty Battleship crashed into the ocean at terminal velocity, which kicked up a huge wave mixed with metal fragments from her destroyed rigging.

When she came to, her eyes had a dim light in them. She faced the surface as her body was plummeting further and further into the depths. The groaning of her rigging echoed throughout the sea as the pressure on her body increased steadily.

Her whole body was numb, but luckily she still had them though with severe damage. The water above her was stained with her blood forming a trail from the surface that was also littered with parts from her rigging. She faintly wondered if her majuu survived since she remembered giving the order to abandon ship in the last moments, her 2 cosmo seagulls quickly launched from her hangars as each of them went vertical to try and escape the blast radius of the explosion.

She could only hope for their survival as a wave of exhaustion hit her, the dim glow in her eyes extinguished as the Wave Motion Engine was finally silenced, its condenser a molten slag while her quantum flywheel was a broken mess. If she had pushed herself even more, the engine had a high possibility to explode, which she avoided, but fate once again led to the same ending as her core shut down, cutting off energy to the entire ship and essentially sending her into a coma while on the brink of death.

Unfortunately for our battleship, she crashed in the worst area possible as the ocean beneath her descended to a point where the light of the sun never reaches and a place with so much pressure it can pancake a nuclear submarine. That place was the Mariana Trench, and more specifically, above Challenger Deep.

Her figure disappeared into the darkness, doomed to oblivion, while the warriors above her fought desperately to prevent such from befalling on Earth.
