Amirel jumped at the sudden appearance of Avilena in her new form.
"Get ready quickly, you need to run!" She screamed loudly to her husband.
"At least you could explain what happened to you. And why did you set us up with the magic? What kind of gown is this?"
"No time to explain. Grab the kids and let's jump onto Zaria!"
Amirel called his brother and ran after Eluen, and Avilena picked up little Faen. They waited a couple of moments for Ramies and teleport, hand in hand, away from Xantari, ending up in the palace garden of Azaren.
"I didn't think we'd get here today!" Ramies grumbled, hugging his son.
"Now we are expats!"
"Avilena, what kind of rush is this? Did you want to test the teleport on us?" Amirel was angry, letting the child run around on the grass.
She sank to the ground and cried, covering her face with her hands.
"What's the matter with you?" Amirel sat down next to him.
"They tried to kill me because I'm strong!"
"Why did you go to the Rulers?" Ramies was loudly indignant. "We warned you! So risk your life! One stupid word and you can get burned."
"I didn't think that they would want to burn me right away. Why?"
"You told them something rude!" Amirel guessed. "Are you crazy to say that to their face!"
Ramies became hysterical, reading information from her aura.
"They don't forgive anyone anything, especially a woman."
"They started burning me without warning. I'm a princess! … At first I didn't understand what was happening, then I saw that I was all engulfed in flames."
"We knew about the executions of the disobedient, we didn't want to scare you and tell you about it. Our clairvoyants are aware, which is why everyone is so afraid of breaking the Code. We were stupid that we decided to keep silent about you. They were going to do the same to me," Amirel said sadly.
Avilena nodded her head, continuing to cry:
"This is all because of me!"
"To be honest, I was already saying goodbye to life after the agent's visit, it's good that you took us," - Amirel said.
"You helped avoid his execution," Ramies added. "They would have found you someday anyway. It's unlikely that we would have waited for Rohen to save us."
Ramies froze for a while and asked, puzzled:
"Why were there four Rulers? Where did Lamronius go?"
"They deprived him of his post, expelled him for transformation," Amirel explained. "Lantas complained to me about his father, that he turned into a
copy of him so that Farenia would not reject him. Some kind of bad luck!"
"Bad luck is that the Rulers burned rebellious women who tried to
defend their rights in this way," Avilena rose to her feet, wiping away tears.
"There were many more of your princesses, I'm sure."
Ramies and Amirel looked at each other with horror in their eyes.
"Serious statement!"
"Why do you think so?"
"They did not hesitate at all in their decision to burn me, which means that this is a common thing for them. That is why Rohen categorically does not allow Kamily to go to Xantari. They would punish her without explanation for her strength and rebellion. And Palien knows about this, he has always been against princesses moving to your planet."
"We didn't know about this," Ramies looked very upset. "Such executions of princesses happened a long time ago, when we were kids. Yes! There were more of them, and since then they have not been revived in our society. It's terrible to realize such cruelty!"
"I don't want to return to my homeland after such a terrible truth," Amirel said. "I'd rather fall at the feet of Lariel..."
"They noticed us," Ramies growled. "Selestra is coming."
Lady of Azaren, dressed in a luxurious pink gown, approached them, astonished.
"What's going on here?"
She looked around at everyone in confusion and cast a hostile glance at Ramies, who was hiding his eyes in embarrassment.
Avilena came forward to her, smiling welcomingly.
"Sorry that we so spontaneously fell into your garden, but we had nowhere to go. We are now refugees, fleeing the authorities of Xantari."
"Have you got a teleport? What have you done?"
"Yes, I am now in the service of Rohen, I am conducting liberation activities and the Rulers wanted to burn us, I had to quickly run away."
Selestra stared at Avilena in shock.
"My head will explode from your information, you always surprise me."
She looked at the officers and children again and whispered:
"Why did you bring both of them here? I don't want to see this Ramies."
"Come on, forget the past. He is my second husband, I couldn't leave him to the mercy of the Rulers."
Avilena briefly explained to the Queen what had happened.
"Do you want to stay at my palace? You can, of course, stay overnight, but it's better for you to settle in Ornalion. This city is exactly right for you."
"Why do you say that?" Avilena frowned.
"It's unlikely that Erin will want to hide you here from the Supreme Power."
"But Lariel will not leave us in Ornalion! He never tolerated officers."
"If you beg hard and say that you are being persecuted by the Rulers, he will allow you to live there."
Ramies suddenly approached Selestra, and without raising his eyes, said in a guilty voice:
"I'm sorry! I treated you badly... Thank you for our son."
She blinked her eyes, turned away with an offended face and quickly left without answering.
"Well, guys… We are not welcome here! We'll have to bow to the King of the Free City," Avilena said, looking sympathetically at the saddened Ramies.
