Chapter 147 - 147

Adivaris's eyes darted with excitement.

"He is a stubborn boy! He didn't want to carry out my instructions and fled into hibernation," - Rohen continued.

"What kind of deal is it?" - Luanlia got angry.

"Listen, honey. It is impossible to get into the magical world of syrinxes from the outside without an agreement under which the Essence is obliged to perform some tasks in exchange for privileges and abilities. This happened to you and to others. You ended up here as the wife of the Son of the Source and became an immortal sorceress. You were allowed to join the Syrinx because of the quality of your soul. Note that not every soul is initiated, but only special, useful ones, so to speak. Your energy is delightful to us. Haven't you noticed how much pleasant communication with you brings men? This has been explained to you many times. But Gedeon does not want to fulfill the terms of the contract under which he was born a syrinx with such serious gifts."

"And what will happen to him now for disobedience?" Luanlia got worried.

"Adivaris and I will come up with something, don't worry so much about your favorite. Taming the Essence is not a problem for us at all. It's more of an entertainment."

Rohen rose from his chair, preparing to leave, and asked Adivaris a question:

"Will you stay with me or return to Xantari?"

Luanlia cast a worried glance at her husband.

"I don't want to be a Lamori!" - She exclaimed. - "There are a lot of vamps there, I don't want to communicate with them."

The men looked at each other in surprise at her unexpected reaction.

"Then you need a second husband," Rohen said calmly, after a pause.

"Aren't you one?" - Luanlia asked in a frustrated voice.

"You are my daughter!" - He stated sternly. - "You can choose an Azarenian or a Xantarian at your discretion."

The princess suddenly burst into tears, alarming the men.

"What upset you so much?" - Adivaris rushed to hug her.

"Nothing!" - Luanlia shouted, broke away from his hands and ran out of the room.

Rohen looked after her in confusion.

"She's too attached to me. I didn't expect at all that she would fall in love with me on the very first day we met."

"Well, it's not your fault, Rohen," Adivaris said sadly. "I myself would like

you to be her husband. To tell the truth, it's convenient for me to live under

your protection, so that no one would interfere with our union."

"Yes, it's too obvious… I noticed your preferences. But I met someone

new… my heart is fluttering."

"Really? You've got a new lover? Princess?" Adivaris was surprised.

"Nope! A young Duke… alien."

"Wow! You like guys? I didn't know! Is he so pretty?"

"Oh, yes… he is!" Dreamly wispered Rohen with happy smile. "I felt in

love! Feeling goosebumbs thinking about him. Kire… is his name. So

gorgeous!"

447"Ow, I got it now, why you rejected Luanlia… So how's he? Accepted

you?"

"I hope so. We had a wonderful merger… I'm still in heaven…"

"Really? Congrats!" Grined Adivaris in amusment.

His consciousness slipped out of the fog of oblivion, and he woke up from deep dream, opening his eyes in the twilight of the room. A fragile blonde with a concerned look was leaning over him.

She screamed joyfully, waving her arms.

"Deo! You've finally woken up!"

"Who are you?" - He asked absently, peering at the young winged girl.

"Not recognising me?" - Her face saddened. - "I am Zarmina! Your beloved friend."

"I don't remember... Are you an angel? I am in heaven?"

Gedeon tried to sit up in bed and with obvious horror on his face, he put his hands behind his back, feeling it.

"What? Do I have wings too? How did I end up here? What's happening?"

He moved his wings, looking back at them, and gazed confusedly his palms, rotating them, then at the alarmed Zarmina.

"Can I fly? Who am I?"

"You are a syrinx, a winged magician named Gedeon, the prince of Ornalion, this is your bedroom in the palace."

He looked at her with widened eyes, his mouth open in amazement.

Zarmina was upset: such deep amnesia alerted her, he knows how to speak and perceive, but not even remembering his name is abnormal, as if all the events of this life were erased to zero.

She sat down next to the confused guy, who stubbornly couldn't recall anything, and began massaging his shoulders.

"Well, over time, your memory will return, I hope," - Zarmina said, affectionately smoothing the young man's torso. - "Try to get up, you were motionless for a long time."

She jumped up and extended her arms to him, trying to lift the prince.

He stood on trembling legs and, staggering, walked a few steps to the mirror.

An unfamiliar, charming boy with long straight black hair and large blue eyes was looking at him. He touched his face, as if not believing in the reality of what was happening, spread and folded his wings in thought, and sank to the floor.

"But I don't remember anything at all, not even my face. What am I... unearthly! An angel with black wings, and yours are white. Am I dreaming about this?"
