Enough is enough!
Before Victoria could think of a solution, she saw Chad Yakov deftly taking off his shirt, then flipping open her quilt and lying down on her bed, quickly settling in.
Finding the most comfortable position, he propped his head with one hand and gave her a sideways glance.
"If you don't sleep, I'm going to turn off the light."
Oh, come on!
She had no intention of sleeping now; she just wanted to know where she could send Chad Yakov, this rascal, away!
"Click—" Chad did what he said.
Before Victoria could speak, he had already reached over and turned off the bedside light.
The room instantly went dark, pitch black.
Only the door, which wasn't fully closed, let in a faint light from the living room.
Her room was cozy, with no extra decorations, simple and clean.
