"You think you can deceive me? I will not..."
"Ding dong!" Her doorbell actually rang!
What the hell, he's serious!
Victoria Gibson slammed her cell phone down on the table, took swift steps towards the door, opened the peephole, stood on tiptoes, and tried her best to look outside.
But there was nothing to see outside...
Victoria steeled herself, reached out to open the door, rushed out, put her hands on her waist, and started shouting.
"Chad Yakov, come out! Stop playing tricks, I'm not afraid of you!" Her loud roar echoed throughout the corridor.
The echo lingered...
The only response she got was silence, and the bewildered gazes of other people in the corridor.
Almost immediately, Victoria snapped back to her senses, realized she'd been tricked, and rushed back to the table, grabbing her cell phone. She hadn't even opened her mouth to question, but the man on the other end of the telephone was already laughing uncontrollably.
"Victoria, you're adorably dumb, haha!"
