"But I remember my father told me, no matter what happens, always be a good person!"
"A good person?" Chester Yale's thin lips slightly parted, gently uttering two words.
The tone was devoid of emotion.
"Yes, a good person!" Victoria Gibson repeated excitedly, with clenched fists, taking a step forward.
"My father told me that life involves facing many choices, and sometimes our strength is very limited. But he doesn't expect me to change the world; he only hopes that I won't be changed by it, continuously and bravely insisting on being a kind child... I don't believe he is a wicked person!"
Victoria's eyes reddened, as if words repressed for a long time were finally allowed to be spoken.
She had always been unwilling to believe her father was a wicked person.
Even if she remembered little now.
But some feelings, even after many years, cannot be forgotten.
