Paige opened the door to the house and saw Morgan bleeding on her porch. Her eyes rose instantly and she brought her in. Panic set in her heart due to the gravity of what was happening and she couldn't help but worry about Scarlet's safety at this point.
"What happened? You called over an hour ago and now you're—"
"They are here already. We don't have much time left," she told her and asked, "How is she?"
Before Paige could give a response, Melanie called her attention and she was alarmed immediately. She ran to the room where Scarlet was and she saw her daughter forcing herself to sit up.
"Yo-you're awake?" she asked as she moved closer to her. She touched her, but her body was too cold for someone who was still alive.
Morgan entered the room and when she saw Scarlet, she paused and stared at what she had become. Her skin was white already and she looked like she was hanging on to a thread about to snap.
