The next day when I woke up, the air was filled with the scent of red flower oil.

She climbed out of bed and opened the window.

She drew the curtains closed and then climbed back into bed to look at Trenton Smith.
The swelling on his face had obviously subsided, and the cuts on his lips had started to scab. She gently pulled back the blanket and saw that the bruising around his waist had also faded to just a faint trace.
His recovery was truly astonishing.
Seeing that Trenton Smith was still sleepy, Norris Moore didn't disturb him; she quietly got dressed in her home clothes, got out of bed, and went into the bathroom to wash up.
