Abigail Moore sighed, not wanting to dwell on her thoughts too much, given her current situation.
Abigail stuffed that little thing into her bag, stood up from the sofa, and said to Brother East, "I have something to take care of tonight, so I'll be leaving first."
With a cigarette dangling from his mouth, Brother East glanced at her and sneered inwardly. What could she possibly have to do? He was well aware of her recent activities.
Still, his face displayed a very friendly smile: "Mhm, alright. Take care. I won't see you out."
Abigail could clearly see the perfunctory smile on his face, which infuriated her internally.
When she was the center of everyone's attention, this guy was probably holed up in some corner, and now all sorts of trash thought they could pull rank on her.
But what's the use of talking about it now? Things are as they are, and she must face them bravely, or else it would be a disaster.
