The man responded softly and carried her outside.
The corridor was brightly lit, but the bar was so quiet that not a sound could be heard. It was only when Trenton Smith carried Norris Moore past the dance floor that she realized the bar had already ceased operations.
At the entrance of the bar, a cold wind blew by, dispersing the odd scent on Trenton Smith's body. She shivered slightly and was wrapped tighter by the man: "Cold?"
"Hmm... a bit." Norris Moore looked back at the bar, but saw no one coming out. After hesitating, she asked, "Treton, what did you do to that man?"
Trenton Smith paused, glancing at her as the time neared evening. When he looked down, half of his face was obscured by the deep blue shadows, and a fleeting cold glint flashed in his eyes.
He then smiled and asked lightly, "You're still concerned about that man?"
