Vivianne Lindsay came over and said to Aldana Candi, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you couldn't stand up. What I said earlier was just a joke, I didn't mean it. Please don't take it to heart."
She looked genuinely guilty, her big eyes full of apology. It was clear she truly felt sorry for the inadvertent tease earlier.
Aldana Candi shook her head and said gently, "It's nothing."
Vivianne Lindsay glanced at her, her eyes lighting up, and ran to the door to whisper to Philip Shaw.
"Where did you find such a gem? She's so likable, even has had a child already, you really acted fast."
Philip Shaw gave her a sideways glance, "Get lost, don't bother her."
"Who doesn't love gentle and pretty girls? I'm going to bother her, bite me if you can."
She quickly ran back to Aldana Candi, smiling as she grabbed the two handles behind the wheelchair, and said to Aldana Candi, "Hey sister, let me take you out for some fresh air. It's so stuffy inside the room."
