"... You're sick."
Aldana Candi stood there, watching as Philip Shaw's figure disappeared with an air of nonchalance. She lowered her head and glanced at the menacing snake head that Philip had severed. The creature was long dead, yet its bared fangs and sharp venomous teeth sent a chilling sensation up Aldana's neck. She unconsciously rubbed her neck, then kicked the snake head far away with her foot. She looked at the snake body in her basket, hesitated for a moment, but didn't throw it onto the ground.
Reality simply didn't allow her to indulge; this snake might well be a rare treat for her in the future.
Aldana lowered her head and looked at her own legs, letting out a gentle sigh.
Once these legs can carry her a few more steps, she might be able to find more food, but for now, she could only gather this much.
