Aldana Candi cleared the dishes from the table and brought them to the kitchen, noticing Philip Shaw still sitting there. She approached to shoo him away: "You should leave."
Philip Shaw asked softly: "Where should I go?"
"Go where you need to go."
He looked up and shook his head at her: "I have nowhere to go."
Aldana Candi slightly tightened her jaw, unwavering, as she walked over to open the door. Sunlight poured in, and a slender shadow was cast into the room.
She raised her head and saw the brown-skinned girl standing at the door.
She didn't know how long she'd been standing there, only saw Philip Shaw sitting inside when she opened the door, a hint of sadness on her face.
Aldana Candi turned to Philip Shaw and said: "Your person has come to pick you up."
