Aldana Candi took out the outer garments packed in the bundle and handed them to Philip Shaw. Although this place was known for its year-round spring-like climate, the temperature inevitably turned cold when it rained at night.
"I only brought a few changes of clothes." Aldana Candi also pulled out a small thin quilt, "A quilt."
Philip Shaw glanced at the quilt and was silent for a moment.
With his imagination, he couldn't figure out how Aldana Candi had folded such a quilt into a bundle the size of a tofu block.
The dry branches were nearly burnt out, so Philip Shaw went to gather more dry leaves and, together with Aldana Candi, leaned against the tree trunk, occasionally tossing leaves onto the fire to keep it burning.
Aldana Candi leaned against the somewhat damp tree trunk, lifted her head to gaze into the pitch-black forest overhead, where everything was silent except for the sound of rain, as if the entire world consisted only of her and Philip Shaw.
