The inexplicable change left Aldana Candi a little dazed. The dialogue between Anne and the woman was too fast for her to understand. However, she still took a step back, her steps faltering, as someone supported her from behind, pressing down on her shoulder. Aldana Candi looked up and saw Philip Shaw standing expressionlessly behind her, his cold gaze fixed on the woman.
The woman pinched Anne's arm, glaring at Aldana Candi as if wanting to rush over and kill her. She screamed shrilly, her words incomprehensible to Aldana Candi, but the painful sound still made her feel something strange.
She looked around and found that the islanders had fallen silent, watching her and Philip Shaw with strange expressions. From those eyes, Aldana Candi saw fear and hostility.
A chill crept out from her pores, and Aldana Candi clearly felt that some change had occurred in these friendly islanders, which made her feel cold all over.
Anne shouted at Philip Shaw, "Take her back first!"
