With a bang, James Black tossed the glass not too lightly or too heavily onto the ground beside the bed, splashing a bit of water onto Jane Sampson's hand.
The sudden noise startled the young man who had been leisurely going upstairs. He quickly ran towards the room from which the sound came.
The room door wasn't closed, so the young man entered directly after coming upstairs. What he saw was James Black standing with a grim face by the fragments, and Jane Sampson, who had woken up but lacked strength, leaning on the bed with a face full of disgust and disdain.
With a cigarette in hand, Goodyear walked in, flicking ash halfway through, directly letting it fall on the ground, before stamping it out and walking over to Jane Sampson's side.
