Jane Sampson immediately unwrapped it and popped it into her mouth. Her sly eyes glanced at his coat pocket; her little thoughts written right on her face.
In a few seconds, her mischievous little paws reached towards James Black's coat pocket, patting and probing before reaching in to search.

But came up empty-handed.

"I sat here keeping you company for dinner, just one reward?" Jane Sampson threw James Black a 'you're so stingy' look, then patted her seat and went straight out.
